The computers we just slide in the rack or connect the cannon plug then screw into place. Hyd/Pneu systems, engine/landing gear/pressurization components ect were just about all safety wired.

You have mainly military experience then I'm guessing?

Is so, then yea, from what I've been told by friends that worked in the military, civilian/military worlds are very different.

Years ago had a friend that was either Air Force or Navy, can't remember offhand. Said if the pilot thought he had a birdstrike, it was an automatic engine teardown and inspection for damage. Didn't matter if it actually happened. We had nothing like that in commercial. We had a birdstrike procedure but nothing like that.

Another friend was telling me about her first days working in commercial after military and her MEL deferral. Flight crew came in with some write up. Don't remember what, but it wasn't a big deal. Fire loop fault or hyd pump inop or something along those lines. Something fairly common. Anyway the flight crew said they'd be back in an hour for pre-flight and my friend them told no way. This plane can't go anywhere till they troubleshoot and fix what's wrong. Crew looked at her crazy. I guess deferral procedures are different or non-existent in the military?

I don't know where it is, nor does anyone else on here. There are plenty of other things that could have happened other than terrorism. No one on VN knows at this point. I know how disappointing it will be for volmav, and a few others, if it turns out to be a catastrophic electrical fire, but it could have been. Or a dozen other things.

A quick google search will show you what is going on. The FBI is looking in to the pilots flight simulator for the reason he DELETED things off it before flight.

How does that prove terrorism? Do you know what facts are? If it gets proven to be terrorism, so be it. But no one knows yet. As far as the FBI goes, you may want to lookup the story of Richard Jewell.

No I don't want to look it up. We are discussing a freaking plane that's been missing for 12 days that no one can account for. Jesus Ron. The transponders were manually turned off. The freaking plane flew for 7 damn hours after the fact.

Terrorism-sure. Islamic? I don't know.


There's 239 people dead Ron. The engines didn't burst in to flames and crash Ron. It flew for 7 damn hours Ron. Not even a seat from the plane is floating around Ron...

Wtf do you think happened to the plane? Maybe he turned of the transponders by accident? Thought he hit the switch for his iheart radio app?
