I agree. There is really no difference here. I would actually rather have a couple USC bench heaters that have practiced against their starters for a few years than a Juco guy. To say it would hurt our youth's experience when we are down 10 scholarship players and are really lacking depth at key positions makes no sense to me.
Part of me feels sorry for these kids for being duped. They should have had a clause that said they could leave if there was a bowl ban or something. Its ok Markeith.....There's always JuCo

To add to this, the player does not have to have a release from the school he is transferring from, but I do think that whatever school contacts him about a possible transfer, has to go through the COI for permission. At least thats how I read the guidelines.
