Okay look i have been a baseball fan for 10+ years. I have followed my team through the worse times & great times. But what the Yankees have done this offseason has made me decide that i will not watch baseball anymore! I am so pissed right now!!! The economy is HORRIBLE, you have people in America struggling to keep their houses & cars. You have people in America working their asses off 5 days a week 8-10 hours a day probably making just $8.00 an hour & probably just bringing home 20,000-30,000 dollars year. But yet MLB allows the New York Yankees to spend 500 MILLION dollars on 3 players, that play this game for FUN. It is something they LOVE to do. That is HALF A BILLION DOLLARS people!!! But yet they have to call on New York City to help them pay to finish their 1 Billion dollar stadium. It is just a freaking shame it really is.

agree 100%

Cheer up, guys. We'll be able to look back at this and laugh when they inevitably fall short once again next year.

They had to give up a ton of draft picks. This is how they got so old so quickly because their farm system is horrible. The yanks will get theirs after CC is struggling to stay below 3 bills and Burnett inevitably hurts himself again...

Teixeira deal a joke. I thought Jorden money was retarted. Ted, Stan, Babe & the Splinter are rolling in their graves. Well not Ted I think he is still in cryo state. The Yankees are a mockery. All that is whats wrong with baseball.

So just because a lot of other places are struggling, the Yankees can't spend their money? Their economy is doing just fine. Let them spend away and still finish behind the Rays and BoSox.

They draft in every round this year except for one.

I heard the Dodgers are trying to dump some payroll so they are looking at getting rid of Andruw Jones and deferring the 22 million owed to him.

looks like Giambi may be coming home. And ya know what? I'm excited about it. Away from the bright lights and scrutiny he may settle down and put up decent numbers in McAfee. Plus he gets to grow his hair and goatee back. I'm sure he'll love that. Maybe he was just a Nazarene and he took steroids to compensate for not getting to have his hair.... Maybe...

the Cubs have done exactly NOTHING to get better this off season.

Milton Bradley? really? i mean really?

I know he sucks now, but he'll instantly become the best power hitter the A's have if the contract goes through.

And it never hurts to dream and relive the past. Maybe we can get Tejada for cheap too.

and yes, I see those "zits" on his shoulder that probably came from the steroids. No need to point it out.

Looks like the Mets are playing with Derek Lowe and his contract demands: they figure no one will bid higher for him so they are pretty much standing by their offer.

Meanwhile, Pedro's days may be over as the Meta have said to vie for a spot on the roster than a guaranteed one.
