'24 MO DL Williams Nwaneri (Mizzou commit)

Yes, I realize they won the east in two years when the division was really weak. That's two years out of over 100 years of football. What have they done since?

Compare the histories of the two programs. Compare our fanbase, facilities, etc of the two programs. Tennessee and mizzou aren't even close to being equal.
Play fair, that is two years out of ten years in the SEC. The record in that time is 5-5. The rest of your statements are spot on.

That's what others were saying about UT for a long time.

Missouri is starting to produce more talent. TN has ten 4* players this year. Missouri has two 5* players and 7 4* players. [BThe inclusion of Texas and OU in the SEC actually helps Mizzou in recruiting. When they were "good", a lot of their talent came from Texas.[/B]

I agree with others that Drinkwitz isn't the guy to get it done. He should have stayed where he was. Success in one place doesn't always translate. However, writing Mizzou off as a "****hole" is foolish.
But one could argue the opposite effect. Now a recruit from Texas who wants to compete in the SEC has two better options along with A&M.

Word is Mizzou won’t be beat on NIL offerings. They are going all in on Nwaneri like they did with Burdan last year. We just upped our offer to over $500K to get in the same ballpark with Mizzou. I know we want to dump on opponents, but Mizzou has developed some DL over the years compared to the talent level they have coming in. Don’t sleep on them being the choice. Glad our coaches put in a higher bid. This kid is really good.

The coaches aren't bidding on anything.
