$500k? That’s it? I wish we would get a little more serious here. Nwaneri is the type of player UGA and Bama gets that wrecks offenses. We needs these types of guys. If we are gonna spend them let it be on the OL and DL. If we get outbid by Missouri then that will be pathetic.

Probably 500k yearly, so let’s say 1.5 mill at 3 years

Spyre seems pretty smart in how they spread our available NIL around. I get what you are saying but we have a few other high level dudes we want to hopefully close on so I think we don't want to blow our wad on one guy, which is what it sounds like Missouri might do.

Probably not. Being so deep in now on Wingo, Franklin, Fountain, and Cole though, we probably just want to make sure we have enough to go around. If we are going to burn a chunk though, I definitely like it to be Nwaneri.

What DL has the current staff developed? I know they produced some when Odom was there, but has the current staff done so?

Kids need to pay less attention to a school's "history" of developing certain positions and pay more attention to the history of coaches on staff. In our case, we have Garner, who has a history of putting DL in the league. I'm not sure who the Mizzou DL coach is. I might look him up later.

I take any money talk with a grain of salt. It may be true, it may not. I'm sure they're getting paid well whatever the actual amounts are. College football has become a billion-dollar industry. Everyone wants their cut of the pie. Ultimately, it's we the consumer who are getting screwed.

But we love our football.

IF we could somehow land this kid and Franklin, our interior DL recruiting would be complete. Still need an Edge guy or two, but the interior would be stout.

One BIG reason we don’t want the NIL model replaced by any employee model. We don’t want those dollars coming out of school pocket and calculated into ticket pricing.

His resume isn't even close to CRG's. What the program has done in the past, under different coaches, is really kind of meaningless. What have the current coaches done? Between the two, GRG has done a lot more.

I agree with your overall point, but the draw of going to a program that has put a certain position in the league, is that theoretically those same alumni can help coach a kid into what needs to be done.

I don't know, let's ask Manning and Nico, or Manning and Milton, or Manning and Dobbs, or Manning and fill in the blank.

Relationships like that happen everywhere. It's very common for alumni to come back during recruiting visits and during the off-season.
