This recruitment has shifted back in UT's favor a bit, because of the dialogue with our coaches, not the NIL stuff. UT's staff, Garner and coach Chop, were very clear on his visit that they saw Nwaneri playing with his hand on the dirt and primarily being a DT with the ability to rush the QB from inside and push the pocket, like Aaron Donald. They told him he would play some situational EDGE stuff but they absolutely see him playing DT primarily.
This didn't go over well with William at first, but once he went on his other visits to UGA, OU, Oregon, he started seeing and hearing fairly similar things, but those schools beat around the bush because they knew he wasn't being receptive to the idea of being a full time DT. Mizzou has told him he can play whatever he wants lol. Anyhow, once Nwaneri and our staff were able to have some continued conversations after some of his other visits, he is starting to come around on the vision that RG has for him.
The NIL stuff will sort itself out.....that wasn't the issue for why we faded after his OV, nor will it be the most important factor IMO.
