Money vs. Sugar

That is amazing and is another reason that he is no doubt one of the greatest in that class, But......I know someone who is very capable of ending that drought :)
Can you imagine if the guy you are thinking about knocked him down in the first couple rounds if they ever fought.

Floyd would be pissed! It would be a heckuva fight after that.

I am dreaming!

Zab Judah is only one I know of. He did and the refs didn't call it. Mayweather is going to smash your boy Pac-Man though. He's going punish that dude. It won't even be close.. Stop fooling yourself Mayweather is the best and Pac-Man knows it too.

PAC is not my man. But if you think he won't give a better fight than anyone may has fought yet, your wrong. I have agreed that may is the best fighter in the land, but PAC will make him work.

I comepletely agree with this. This would definatley be his toughest fight. Whoever wins will definately be deserving of the P4P title.

After watching both of their last fights. I think Pac is the quicker fighter. That might make the difference.

If he did round after round. He would wear him down for sure. I watched the Pac/Hatton fight. Could not beliee Pac's speed. I literally only saw where the punches, and couldnt see him arm in motion. It was unbelievable.

I don't disagree that Pac has great hand speed, but it's funny that you mention it because when several friends and I watched Mayweather/Marquiz, we were absolutely amazed when they showed the slow-motion between rounds. In real-time, it didn't look like Mayweather was really dominating, but you couldn't discern all the punches he was landing. When they showed the slo-mo, everybody in the room turned to each other like "did we miss part of that round, because I didn't see that combination"

I am not a boxing fan and haven't followed it since way back when Hagler was the MAN, but if a Pac/Money fight happens I am buying it.

I'm all for a pac/Floyd fight but it's not all that's going on right now. There is so much good going on in the sport right now and it's mostly being ignored by anyone not really into boxing. I get that it's not for everyone and that a lot of people will only be drawn in by the BIG fight but there is some outstanding stuff out there, starting with the Super 6.

Oh, and anyone with showtime should be watching next Saturday night. Marquez v. Vazquez IV will be on. I don't think it can live up to the first 3 fights just bc I doubt they are still able to take that kind of punishment anymore, esp. Vazquez. But on the off chance it does live up to those, it should be pretty epic.

Been outta the loop for a week. Is this fight getting negotiated?

And, also, another question.

Why does Floyd hate Bob Arum so much? Does he feel as though Arum ripped him off?

Plus ONE

I have never seen a fighter with quicker hands after the Pac vs Hatton fight. His hand speed was unreal.

Ran across this on a blog I read in regard to the Amir Khan domination of Malinaggi from last Saturday night. It's far from scientific but is a opinion I put some trust in.

As far as pure speed of hand goes across the sport, I think I'd go like this for a top five. This is kind of off the cuff and certainly open for debate, and I'd love to hear your top guys, too:

Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Amir Khan
Manny Pacquiao
Yuriorkis Gamboa
Zab Judah

I think 1-2 is close, too. Mayweather, as incredible as he is, doesn't have quite the speed he used to. For pure hand speed, I do think Khan is faster than Pacquiao, but Pacquiao is obviously a better overall fighter. Gamboa is a storm unleashed when he gets going, and Judah does still have speed, if nothing else. I don't think there are a lot of exceptionally fast guys out there, and I think the speed of a lot of guys tends to get overrated. There are lot more guys close to Malignaggi speed than Khan speed, I believe.

Plus, it throws my favorite current fighter on the list in Gamboa.

They are also showing the trilogy every other night throughout the week as well as a documentary on the first three fights on Saturday afternoon. All three of those fights stayed on my DVR in "save until delete" status for over a year the last time they showed them all, I might just have to do it again this time around.

It's hard to win a fight against a quicker opponent, Mayweather being undefeated says a lot. I think think Pac might have an edge here though.

After watching Mayweather vs Mosley, I thought Pac had quicker hands then Mayweather, but maybe that wasn't the most representative fight.

On the last 24/7 they did Floyd said something that made me really think. He said something like, "I've never beat. Every one of these 40 fighters had a fight plan, and all 40 got beat. Can you imagine if you had been betting on me my whole career? You would be rich!"

That struck me. I havent been out here for too long. I have only placed two win bets on him out here. A guy I was talking too the other day said he has placed 18 win bets on Floyd in a row! I was impressed. Kinda seemed like easy money he said. I asked him where his money would be on Floyd v Pac. He said Floyd of course. Easy he said!

I think theres only one fighter in history, Rocky Marciano, who retired undefeated. It is incredibly hard to do, especially the older you get. I think Mayweather will lose eventually. Pac has he best chance of anyone.

I'm sure there are other guys who have retired undefeated, but I don't feel like looking it up right now. In either event, the reason that fighters eventually lose is that they fight too long. Captain obvious, right? This is usually because of money. Believe it or not, boxers are not generally known for their financial savvy. They go broke, and they need another payday. And then another. And then one more.
