Bammer. They will be higher ranked and a win will get the attention of the college football world, including some high school football players.

I hope the schedule screwers go bankrupt and they can not send their kids to the college of their choice and they get fired from flippin burgers!!!

This year it's almost definitely Bama for national credibility and recruiting. If we're competing for the SEC East, it's UF because of needing the best record in the east.

At this stage in our history, whichever come first on the schedule is most important.

I think Bama would be the bigger win, but I grew up watching the bigger rivalry being Flordia. The "catch" game still makes me mad.

bama and it's not even close.

It would suck to lose another to Florida but that might help Muschamp keep his job. Beating bama could be the boost we need for our team while keeping Muschamp in Florida could put us in better position for 2015 and 2016.

I hope WE ARE the reason Muschamp loses his job. Why should we wait till 15 or 16 to run him off. Let's beat them this year, get his arse fired, then they can live in the coaching carousel purgatory we've been in for the past 5 years.:salute:

Because they won't hire a Kiff or a Dooley....

Florida because if we beat Bama but lost to Florida we would be upset because we should have beaten both. And because of the east race. Beat Florida to strengthen chances of winning the east beat Bama in Atlanta?

My reason is similar to yours.

Also if we beat Bama, but somehow lost to Florida it would show inconsistency. I would rather us show consistent progress.

For the fact that we've been in a damn drought vs the freakin gators, as they've gone through multiple coach changes but the result has remained the same.
To go a freakin decade without having beat the gators would be egregious as I've seen games vs the gators they could have and should have won including 2010, 2012, 2013and didn't during this freakin drought.

Having seen the vols lose a variety of different ways to the damn gators including to a horrid team has been very egregious.
And I still recall the damn it was a close play for a first down in a close game.

I consider The gators are to the vols what the steelers are to the titans.
The vols have had games vs the gators where they didn't just freakin lose they freakin quit.

I don't just want to see the vols defeat the gators I want to see the gators throw a hissy fit on the sidelines because they continue to hit steel, and quit.

That was before instant repay entered college football. I say it was bad but that would be a freakin understatement.
Having a ball for a second in your hands doesn't make it a td before it gets fastly knocked out.
The play does mostly remind me of the catch that couldn't be finished in the 2012 afc championship game of ravens patriots which wasn't called a td as the ball was knocked with the ravens unable to finish the play by holding on.

I do believe that 2004 where vols beat the gators and a penalty wasn't called on the vols was karma.
It came late in the game at the worst possible time much like the catch in 2000, and a very bitter defeat.

So true. Such a simple concept that so many Vol fans cannot wrap their minds around.

I sure hope our players will not be satisfied with six wins and a bowl. If so, they can go sit in the ******* stands with the other "realist" fans.

Even us "realist" fans want to murder every team that comes along. The difference is we have cognitive skills that allow us to see facts not delusions of grandeur. For you simple minded folk that mean we use our damn brains!

Being a "kool-aider" is alot more fun tho.

I use my "damn" brain enough at work, paying the bills, raising a 4 yo, being a husband, ect...

Tennessee sports, especially football, is my outlet. I love getting fired up. I love seeing my beloved Vols take field. I love feeling that we're fix'n to beat the snot out of whoever that day.
