It's all about coaching. They've made bad (remember Donnan and Goff?) to average (see Richt, Mark) hires the last few times they've had a head-coaching vacancy. A solid coach could win multiple NCs there. Coaching is the only missing piece. That's why I, for one, am hoping Richt can somehow survive all this mess.
I wonder what happens though if Georgia wins out. At that point they'll have a pretty good record. Will that return some stability?
I'm hoping for them to blow up the rest of the way but if you look at the schedule there's a chance that it just won't happen.
Lmao so coach Pruitt supposedly got in a hissy fit at richt's house...and somehow, someway, this news leaks out. Yeah this sounds like grade a horse manure to me.
So..one rumor is that the UGA big dogs are pissed because Pruitt hired a bunch of "Bammer Yahoos", but other rumors have them wanting to fire Richt and go after Bammer Kirby Smart? What a dumpster fire. Sounds like a nightmare power struggle in the administration. Who other than a kid that grew up his whole life wanting to be a pup would get within 200 miles of Athens?
Not a top 10?!! Are you kidding? Gosh there are so many reasons to call it a top 5 job. Beautiful campus (imo) - check. Power 5 conference - check. Virtually no competition from other in state schools - check. Recruiting hot bed in your own backyard - check. Not many schools can say all of that!

Which of those jobs would you rank below Georgia? Because there are others I'd rank ahead of them including Tennessee. Recruiting base in only a small piece of what makes a coaching job desirable.
Georgia is a better job than Texas A&M
Actually, for the reasons stated above by dragon, it is close.
OAN: do you think one day you will let the cat out of the bag, and tell VN that you truly are a GA fan?

A&M have to compete with Texas, TCU, Texas Tech and Baylor. I'm not even going to respond to the second part. Though it is amusing that you care enough to even ask.
Hmmm.... I've never thought about this until you guys just brought it up but I think an argument could be made to the contrary. aTm has the best facilities in the country after their recent upgrades, they are the number one school in Texas in terms of recruiting, they are in the SEC, their only downside is having to run the West gauntlet. UGA has greater tradition but that's about it at this point in time.
