Finally got around to watching Silent Night. Sets up well and gets really dark about 3/4 way in. The subject matter itself is pretty morbid so know that going in. Couple a scenes were hard to watch. Had a few laughs in the beginning but really would t call this horror comedy. Without revealing anything it reminded me of another horror movie with the same theme.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, 6
Finally watched this Cohen Brothers movie. I've seen the others.
It's six separate western tales which are about 20 minutes each. I believe they were made for TV, but the project got called off. At least I think I recall reading that. I think they do a much better job with full length movies. There's more time to develop the story. I'd give their other movies an average score of 8.5-9.

Licorice Pizza is killing it in reviews and audience scores. Can't wait to see it. I hate Xmas day releases for movies that are not family friendly. I won't be able to see it until all the company clears out of town.

Hillbilly Elegy, 4 , Meh, life in the Hood

Passing, 2, Black lady and very light skinned black lady, I got bored. Little development of the plot. Just unrelated conversation seemingly to take time.

I don't fell at home in this world any more, 8, Dark comedy, good actors, good story.

Our Souls at Night, 6, Jane Fonda and Redford. Probably need to be old to appreciate this one

It was a soft reboot/remake IIRC. This might be my favorite in the series, and I really like 1 and 2 for opposite reasons. Lol If you have never seen 3, 4, and 5 best to pretend they just don't exist. Lol

Edit: Wait are you talking about the 2012 version or the newest one? If its latter, just ignore everything I said. Lol

Titane 8/10 French film that is waaaaayyyyyyy out there. If you have a car fetish or enjoy watching the strangest of strange where logic is thrown out the window after five minutes, this is your jam.
