Movies you've seen recently II

Everthing Everwhere All At Once - I'll give it an 8/10. Very entertaining movie and I went in having no idea what to expect. It's a crazy movie that doesn't take itself all that seriously. Great performances especailly by Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan. Really crazy that this was Quan's first big comeback since he left acting around 2000 and you'd think he never left.

Having said that it was a bit long and even given the movie I thought it got a little too silly at points. But it brought it back home pretty well.

The Pale Blue Eye, Netflix, 9/10
Fiction, Detective, Mystery
Christian Bale, Harry Melling
Enjoyed Melling's role as Poe.
Thank you for this recommendation. Just finished it and agree with your 9/10 rating! Was completely surprised by the ending.

Watched Enola Holmes 2. It's fine. It's not outstanding but doesn't suck. I kind of like Henry Cavill as Sherlock, he does better than I went in expecting.

M3gan Lee Ray 6.5284/10

Was bored when the doll wasn't on screen, and for 45 minutes the little girl was the most annoying c***'s in the history of c***y kids, but fun enough. Better than the dumb Childs Play remake. I look forward to the inevitable unrated version since it was chopped to PG13.

Skinamarink ummm 5.5/10 I guess

This will definitely get all the Buzz words/phrases from dummies that think everything is the worst or best thing ever made,
"scariest movie ever"
"traumatizing"
"omg I'm still thinking about it"
"omg I cant sleep now"
"masterpiece"
and on the opposite side
"dumbest movie ever"
"pointless"
"Most boring movie ever"
When frankly it's just an interestingly made movie, that would be way better served as a short or part of an anthology.

Missing 6/10. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Creatively made from the aspect of a lot of it is the view of the computer & iPhone user. The story wasn't as predictable as the usual abduction movie.

"The Good Nurse", Netflix, 8.5, Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne(Best Actor 2015) True story.
Great story from start to finish. Redmayne deserves an academy award for this movie.

Man I’m wrong again. I don’t know what movie I’m thinking of. Late 80s maybe 90s. I just remember it was the third in a series. Really bad god awful horror movie

Fear (2023). 4.5/10.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 17% so my expectations were VERY low....I was pleasantly surprised. It was not a cinematic masterpiece, but it was exactly what you expect in a horror film. Better than expected. Watch on streaming if you like the genre.
