I had no expectations. Wife saw it on the guide and said "let's watch this", didn't know much about it before we watched it. I didn't find anything about it fun.

I watched it on Christmas eve, i enjoyed it.

Pale Blue Eye. It was fantastic. I’m a sucker for period pieces and Poe in general. Very well done. Some people say it’s slow. I never even realized. I was pretty much captivated by the sets and acting throughout.

The Lost City was pretty funny, kind of a very loose remake of Romancing the Stone.

I have a feeling that everything funny in A Man Named Otto has already been shown in the 3 minutes of previews. They’ve spent a fortune running spots for that thing.

More along the lines of The Ladykillers rather than Forrest Gump.

It's a remake of a Swedish film A Man Called Ove (itself based on the novel of the same name). The original movie is very good and while it is comedic it's actually more of a drama imo. It was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the 2016 Oscars. This remake looks like a paint by numbers, go through the motions remake.

The previews are hilarious. I have a feeling that the actual film won’t be so much. The cat looks funny. Especially poking its head out of the box. Otherwise, Hanks just seems like a grumpy guy with funny come backs. I hope it has good reviews. I might go after not going to a theater for many, many years.

I'll watch it, because even when the film isn't good I still usually enjoy Tom Hanks' performance. He hasn't made many truly stinker movies, so it will probably end up being a fine enough movie.
