Took my info directly from On3 who oddly did a composite for transfers but didn't evaluate anyone except Thornton.

BTW, I agree it looks like the staff did a good job in the portal filling needs.

But we won't know for a while how good those evals were/are. I have grown to trust this staff largely because of culture and proven ability to develop guys. But they could be wrong on these guys or even the higher rated guys. A LOT of Jones' 4* guys turned out to be overrated. It happens across CFB. That's part of why I believe those with a proven record of being great at evals like Saban, Smart, et al get a tip of the hat in the ratings for their priority targets. It could well be that UT's 3* guys from last year that landed them at 11th are better than some of Bama's 4* guys that landed them top 3. Time will tell.

If Heupel keeps having success then his targets will get that kind of boost.

I think The issue with the Butch Jones 4 stars was a combination of poor player development and running a mid major offense. As soon as the players ran the strength and conditioning coach off the wheels fell off the Butch Jones wagon

Just terrible coaching. We had a good DC but he got ran off. And our OC was clueless

Some of them. But an inordinate number of Jones' 4* transferred then essentially disappeared. I think Jones was about as close as a HC comes to using the recruiting sites to choose recruiting targets.

Good grief. Are you serious? You remind me of the people that say Bama and Clemson are on a downward spiral. Bama went 11-2. Clemson went 11-3, won the ACC with horrible QB play. If you think Clemson is gonna magically turn into a 6-8 win team just by moving to the weak B10 you are nuts. They recruit all over the country. They will continue to recruit at an elite level. They will also win their share of B10 titles.

What Clemson does has zero bearing on us.

Oh yea for sure, I wasn't calling you out. I know not everyone looks at every Recruiting site like that. The majority of this upcoming class and transfers were either consensus 5's and 4's on most sites and others were 4's either before they transferred or after. The talent is the highest it's been in a long time and only getting better.
