'26 MS WR Tristen Keys

With the amount of transfers we’ve had so far and the staff supposedly not planning on taking anyone in the portal is there a chance they’re trying to pull a Ryan Williams with this guy and have him reclassify to this class? At this point that or Seldon moving to WR are the only things that make sense, and that doesn’t seem likely since he will likely be a heavy part of the RB rotation next year
I'm very confident that we will get a WR out of the portal.

AP said even after the Leacock transfer that the staff apparently isn’t going to pursue a WR from the portal
King said the same thing about RB as well.

The playoff needs to end first
There's some players on those playoffs teams (as you see with us) that will be up for grabs.

I got this super strange feeling...if we beat Ohio State. Ryan Day gets fired.

Jeremiah Smith will be in the Transfer Portal on December 23. And he will be interested in playing with Tennessee.

My uninformed guess is zero teams besides TX would be willing to pay Smith what he’ll be offered to stay at OSU. So if he leaves it’ll be to TX. Again just a wild guess with no knowledge.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing Tennessee will get involved in a bidding war for a WR because I think Heupel believes his offense can make a WR, not the other way around.

Youth movement like the DB room this year, I like it. I would still bring in a solid guy, not a high price produce now type of guy.

Jeremiah Smith signed with Ohio State to play for Brian Hartline and he’s not leaving Ohio State unless he gets a HC job somewhere

I have zero doubts Ryan Day will be in the unemployment line if we beat them on Saturday

He said we wouldn’t pursue a WR. But I think after Seldon went in the portal he said we would pursue the right RB. Not a depth piece but a contributor

Hartline probably is the best in the business at coaching that position. No offense to Halze but I would have Hartline on speed dial if Day got fired; figure he gets a head coaching gig soon anyways.

Agree he’s unlikely to leave. Also think it would be unlikely he’d follow Harltine. Hartline isn’t getting a HC job at a school that could afford Jeremiah Smith.

Hartline also isn’t getting fired if Ryan Day gets canned. Or at least I’d hope a different HC wouldn’t get rid of him. People can hate on Ohio State all they want, but I’m not sure there’s a college coach in America that is better at their job than he is

Hartline is co-OC at Ohio State. He would probably bare minimum have to be co-OC here. I don’t see it happening bc it would affect Halze, and Pope probably. Don’t see heuple doing that.
The only way to get him would be by making him an OC and paying him close to 2M a year

I agree. Really hope they push for a veteran 4th guy. I think everyone is perfectly fine with Brazzell, Matthews, White being the starters but they need to have at least one backup who has actually played some meaningful college football IMO. It's not like Brazzell and White were healthy every game either

Back up RaJackson, Staley, Smith. I’m game, I think…

Yeah my point was none of those guys have ever played a meaningful snap of college football. I’m excited about all of them but getting one guy that has some experience could prove beneficial imo. If Brazzell or Squirrel get hurt again, then do we really have any depth?

Staley may play some meaningful snaps in the next week or two, with Nimrod leaving and not being worried about burning his redshirt now.

That's hard to imagine, especially considering we offered the kid from Texas Tech and now Farooq from Oklahoma. Not sure they would be offering guys if they weren't planning on adding one.
