You may be right. I'm just saying. Cregg talked about it and said it wasn't Lamaison, Kiffin mentioned something in Nashville, and 3 guys on VQ are saying that's what they've been told...

Did we ever see an official quote from Cregg or Kiffin? Or is this "insider info" that some no one picked up when they supposedly saw Cregg at Applebees?

If Kiffin mentioned something about it in Nashville it wasn't publicly. I was there and he didn't say anything about that while interviewed.

I doubt most of this. Of course they have it under control. Does anyone think he'd come out and say "we screwed this up?" No, he wouldn't. I have no source, but can say with 100% confidence there is no "mystery silent QB commit." Period.

I would say its more of a wavering commitment and interest in us instead of a silent commitment. I hate the term silent commitment but with this staff it has to happen considering the planned announcements Orgeron is notorious for.

No offense but you honestly think Kiffin would say that no, we have no clue if we will get a QB for the 2010 class. The best thing he can do right now is damage control for not getting Scroggins.

If I had to guess it is Bray or Brunetti.

Not to mention that even Kiffin said "I believe" which means he doesn't even know what is going to happen.

I agree. I don't believe there is a "silent commit." They have a guy that they feel very confident about landing though. That much is clear...

With all do respect LV, how does one go from this comment to "there is a silent commit to UT who is higher rated than Scroggins"?

I guess it boils down to how you interpret "I believe we got a big fish on the reel".

My reply to that would be that having one on the reel is different than having one in the boat!

It's just not Kiffin's comment. Cregg said that they have a surprise and it isn't Lamaison. Then some guys on VQ are saying they have been told we have a silent QB commit...

Really, when I went to bed last night, I thought this rumor was garbage cuz it was just that one guy. Then, when I woke up, 2 other guys are saying the same thing and the comments from Kiffin and Cregg seem more than just coincidence...

It could be that the player hasn't actually committed to UT yet, but the staff feels very confident that he will soon. I don't think anybody is a silent commit, as there would be no reason to keep a QB commitment silent at this point.

Has Brey only recently shot up the QB rankings? I find it suprising that a 4 star only had offers from Fresno State and SDSU (according to rivals).

hounestly i think scroggins waqs never that good he has a weak frame. he rem me of brent S part 2. i say we go after rettig and 2011 QB's
