NASCAR bans the confederate flag

History is just that, history. It isn't present day. Has anyone tried to lynch you? Who has treated you as subhuman? I can understand battling racism today, but how do you defeat racism that existed 250 years ago? Those people and their ideas are long dead. So why do we hang on to what a bunch of dead white people did 250 years ago? Why should the white people of today feel guilt for something they never engaged in?

I'm all for equality. I see everyone as equal. I'm far more concerned with who people ARE, and not what color their skin is. But I don't buy into white privilege or white guilt or the idea of reparations. I don't think every time a black person is killed by a white person the motive is race. I know racism isn't dead, but I also don't think it's as rampant as it's made out to be. Honestly, I think it's the boogeyman used to keep us apart. Who it is that uses it for that purpose, I'll let you decide, but as long as you treat me fair, I'll treat you fair, no matter what color your skin is.
That's a great question. Why do people hang on to the flags of treasonous losers. People that were terrorized by people wielding the flag are always told to get over it, but the people that are wielding the flag to terrorize people are never told to move on.

Yep, you can bitch and moan about whatever you want, and that is fine. Let a liberal say "hello" and you lose your mind. You got triggered, own it or move on. Don't forget the triggered mess you posted a few posts up.
Bless you heart. You think thats triggered. No. Me saying Im never going to NASCAR or going to watch NASCAR (or quitting NASCAR) is being triggered (never been before never had plans to go either).

Pointing out the idiocy of the left and the weak minded is Patriotism and fighting communism, all at once.

They were told to move on, in 1865.

Melodramatic a bit? NASCAR ain't gonna bite the dust because they ban rebel flags.

One of your few posts that are correct. NASCAR isn't going to bite the dust because they banned the flag. They are going to bite the dust due to the decision they made 15-20 years years ago to turn their backs on who made them. The confederate flag ban won't even be a blip in it's decline.

He is "from" NY.

Nope. You want to get at the root and real crass ways. Look no further than Lord Red Hat, and southern states.

Travel a little Zep, it will open your eyes. The rudest people I have ever encountered in the states were in the northeast and here in middle TN. Most racist people I have ever dealt with were in the northeast.

Went out of your way to criticize folks. Gave us a diatribe that no one read. Sure, you aren't triggered. So when are you going to attack working, normal folks? You might have already done that, I don't follow you that closely.

I feel like that is just an indictment on population. You go to NYC, you’re likely to encounter thousands of people a day, and it would take you weeks or months to encounter that amount of people in rural areas.

Do what you want.
I plan to. NASCAR has been down this road before with the CSA flags. Didn’t stop the fans. Now we have a guy whose never won a Cup race, who will cry racism when a white guy puts him in the wall when he drives the BLM car at Martinsville.
Black Pride is no different than Southern Pride. If they make me take down a CSA flag then they should do the same with Black fist flags or BLM flags or whatever.

Population density has something to do with it. People are so crowded together they get mean and nasty is my thought. I do a lot of business in the northeast and they are a rude people. HOWEVER once you figure out how to deal with them and figure out where you stand they are manageable.

Texans now, that is a whole different story. They'll call you honey and dear to your face while they are picking your pocket.

Well, it has been different for me I guess. The Yanks I've talked with over the years have been fine. It is the little Red Hats that were assholes.

In the end, just another "perceived" important thing blown way out of proportion and scope.

Our ability to actually take on real issues is not possible, sadly. Let alone real life solutions that are applicable, achievable, sensible, and realistic, let alone impactful.

Too many voices, opinions, agenda's, motives, intentions, and not enough general sense of what is actually going on and/or needs to be done to correct it. Because, the first part does all it can to cloudy, muddy, muddle and mix up perception.

Thus, we still deal with all the same issues, pick any of any scope or importance, decade after decade after decade......similar to all the BS with political campaigns and elections, listen closely....same sh** different decade......insanity really........
