'25 NC OT David Sanders (Tennessee commit)

It’s not solely NIL driven. Been said several times by several sources. Elarbee can’t help that a family is allowing themselves to be nudged in a direction by a handler. I agree with that. However, he is responsible for not having developed a single HS recruit to this point. You’re crazy if you don’t think the OSU loving handler has been letting Sanders and his family know about that fact for several months. Elarbee’s recruiting failures from past cycles made it necessary for a guy like Sanders to come in and be contribute next season. Now we’re going to be heavy in the portal for offensive linemen and hope whoever we get will be serviceable.
How do we know? The players he inherited are all playing their senior years….is Darnell Wright not a real person?

Pruitt holdovers and transfers are all Elarbee has proven he can utilize so far. Wright was a Pruitt holdover. Yes Elarbee did a good job with him. However, here’s the issue: if we don’t have any sophomores as good as Daybe Davis, Jackson Lampley, Andrej Karic, and John Campbell, then there is a problem. Those guys may be serviceable but none of them are anything to write home about.

Big year for Elarbee next season if Heup retains him. Either going to have to raid the portal and hope what we get is serviceable or see what these guys he signed out of high school can do.

That’s what im saying the guys behind the seniors we have no clue if they are good or developed yet till we see them start full time, I’ll hold off on judging that till next year

Here's where I am at (I know what KingVFL has said)

This DOES seem to be an NIL move. How was the relationship/lack of development not an issue over the summer but it is now? How can he be seemingly so locked in and 2 weeks before all of the sudden change his mind? OSU fans HATE their OL coach and want him fired just like most UT fans. I think this is a play by OSU to make a splash in recruiting after their rival made a splash landing Underwood last week.

As Tony V says "Make a decision, you're either a Vol or you're not". No kid will ever be bigger than the program but I hope he decides to stick around.
Tony V is probably the only coach in America that can say that lol.

'we have to get a bigger board'

Whatever it takes...

If Huep can evaluate his staff and feel good. All in.

In management, everyone gets evaluated every year. Even CEO. What's performance like? NO one is exempt.

If its me, and i'm looking at tape, and body of work on trail. I'm getting mg guy some help. Call the bullpen, slap a title. Get it done.
We need a coach Chop on the offensive side.

Georgia getting involved
If this is the case, this is either an 11th hour ploy to milk his value for all its worth (after presumably agreeing to terms upon committing) by pitting multiple schools against each other at the last minute, or an "anywhere but Tennessee" move.

As quality a young man as Sanders has seemed to be in every interview I've seen, this is a pretty strong character red flag (either him, the family, or both) if he's coming in at the last minute with new demands trying to strongarm Tennessee into making an impulsive decision up against a deadline.

Are you assuming the entire raft of underclass OL currently on the roster are not progressing in the development cycle? That CJH bought off on extending their offers and they are collectively busts? Go review the online roster like I just did and get back to me.
