NCAA Baseball Postseason Thread

Need a third starter. Need a closer. Ro Coleman's been fun to watch but he isn't coming off the board on Monday night.

Tennessee had a great hitter last season, drafted #2 overall if I recall. They were more than one great pitcher away from Omaha.

Come on man. You have been a great poster lately but for goodness sakes don't insult our intelligence and compare your team this year to the Vols last year. You have guys like chandler day all over that roster that turned down huge money out of HS. The facts are a number of players on that roster made poor decisions by not signing out of Hs.

Our bigger problem were the ones who did sign out of high school. Two pitchers shot up draft boards and obviously did the right thing by signing. We lost 5 last season, keeping even 2 or 3 of those would've helped--but sometimes you evaluate talent well, but it keeps getting better more quickly than you can get it to campus.

I know it's worth little, but this OSU team is one of the best all around teams I've seen all year, haven't seem them much, but they are legit...they are 4 games away from being undefeated in 58, 59 game season so far...they may win 60 games!...that's nuts.

They are legit, no doubt about it.

Honestly, the biggest concern I would have as an OSU fan is how few losses they have, and the streak they're on. Just knowing the game of baseball and how it tends to jump up and bite you every now and then.

Just unlikely to continue forever, and the competition ramps up again next week. How would they handle the pressure of the loser's bracket if they were to lose game one?

That's why we watch the games.

In any event, even if they don't win it all their maximum number of losses on the whole season is seven, if they lost once in bracket play, advanced to the finals and lost there. That's insane. Especially in a power 5 conference.

Insane is right, at any level I think...

Bats have awaken for LSU great game, great atmosphere...making it hard for me to watch Connor Darling in Alaska.

Interesting that....so far (knock wood), the home team in the Supers is holding up and is entirely chalk.

Gator

You buying Kendall Rogers driving the CKO train to usce?

This came up on a Gator board recently and the people working for the website said "no".

If you recall, this rumor came up when he was mentioned for the Texas opening.

Fan support and facilities are the only thing that SCar has going for it over UF and those things haven't hindered his success at UF thus far, so why leave? UF is by far the premiere program in the state at this time so recruiting takes care of itself.

Yes. I am not sure what to believe but Rogers keeps saying it's different because of his family. Rogers says he has strong feelings toward the area from his Clemson years.

Amazing his time in SC is a stronger pull than growing up in FL, attending JUCO in FL and now spending the last 10 years back in his home state.

I'm not sure Rogers can be trusted at this point. He all but had O'Sullivan signed to TX last season.

"Will have hot board on the @Texas_Baseball news. Texas has one primary target in mind, and it’s an elite. And they will get him IMO. #HookEm"

Rogers tweet regarding O'Sullivan last May.

Rogers tweet after O'Sullivan spurned TX

"Kevin O’Sullivan is going to be at Florida for a very very long time. That’s all I will say for now."

The dude throws $hit at the wall hoping it sticks. He's rarely right considering he runs one of the premiere college baseball sites in the country.

I'm not saying this is 100% fact, but supposedly he and his wife have divorced and she is moving/has moved back to SC where she is from. Taking the SC job would allow him to be closer to his kids.

I think this may be the family aspect Kendall Rogers is referring to.

That's why seranno isn't heading out west I have heard.

Bergeron's LBSU offense produced one run in it's last 2 games. The run was a PB.

did anyone else notice the play last night in the FL/WF game when it was an obvious bunt situation with runners on 1st and 2nd, the SS goes to 2nd and the runner goes back as well. Once the runner's momentum was carrying him back, the pitcher throws a perfect strike which was bunted. the runner was basically a few feet off of 2nd base when the ball was bunted into play. The result was an easy out at 3rd. I've never seen that play before executed to perfection and I'm almost positive it was a set play. It was a momentum killer for WF...... Nice call CKO if in fact it was a set play.

When the ball was bunted he was still 89 ft from 3rd base. It wasn't a great bunt either; straight back to the pitcher and too hard.

Rain is absolutely destroying the South over the last 2 weekends. I think just about every regional/super site in the South has had delays and/or postponements.
