He never should have left West Virginia to begin with - I wonder if they would take him back since Horgerson (sp) is on the hot seat

Doubtful. That relationship got really nasty right before and in the months after he left for Ann Arbor.

Illinois fired their AD so it might be a while before they hire a new coach

Illinois: Per source, Illinois AD Mike Thomas is leaving the university today. Update: The University has now announced that they are letting Thomas go. Paul Kowalczyk will serve as interim AD until a permanent replacement is hired. Read more here. Thomas will receive a buyout of $2.5 million.

looks like the first job to come off the board will be Minnesota..no surprise because Kill really pushed for Claeys to get it

Minnesota: There are indications Minnesota will try to secure an agreement to make Tracy Claeys the full-time head coach as early as this week, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. The Gophers have lost to top-15 opponents Michigan and Ohio State in Claeys’ two games as interim head coach this year.

not a head coaching job, but A&M is firing their OC/QB coach
Texas A&M: Jeff Tarpley with 247’s Texas A&M site is reporting that they’ve been told offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jake Spavital “will not be back” next season “and the tenures of others on the staff will depend on how A&M finishes up both the season and reruiting.”

Well, that should make securing commitments quite a bit easier...

Maybe if Sumlin didn't yank his QB's around every week and let a guy ride out a bad week he'd have some more continuity offensively. He's grossly mismanaged his QB's this season IMO.

Minnesota: Interim head coach Tracy Claeys has signed a three-year contract to become Minnesota’s full-time head coach. Claeys will earn $1.4 million in 2016, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Current assistants are under contract through January, and decisions on the staff will be made after the season. Read more here.

Miami (FL): The Miami Herald reports that UM officials are under the impression that Charlie Strong and Tommy Tuberville could have interest in the Miami job. The paper also reports that there have not been conversations between reps of the school and Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal, despite a report, and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Mike Shula will not pursue the job. Additionally, Butch Davis is getting a “fresh look.” When asked about the Miami job last week, Tuberville said, “I’m good” at Cincinnati.

I don't see Strong leaving UT for "The U" unless he's forced out. Miami can't come close in the salary.

Wouldnt have done that after that choke job against Michigan but its just Minnesota FB they wont amount to anything anyway

I don't think he leaves either, but it made me think. If he did leave, who has the qualifications for that job that they would actually go after? Or would they go the same route as Florida?

It would be Smart's job if he wants it.

But Saban is not taking another job. He's probably going to retire within the next 3 or 4 years, but he'll be doing it at Alabama.

It amazes me that you Bammers think Saban feels loyalty or love for the University.

It amazes me that your reading comprehension is so piss poor that you somehow took that from my post.

What else could this mean? You are saying he either is loyal to AL or scared/to lazy to take on another challenge. Guys like Saban are not scared or lazy and get restless.
