That actually would be a big upgrade. 21 losses in one-score games in 5 years? He’s now 5-21 in one-score games at Nebraska, including 9 straight losses. It’s hard to believe that can be pulled off unintentionally. Perhaps they should see if he’s a gambler.

I get that Nebraska was desperate and Frost was a popular hire with the fans due to his time there but it shows that if lightning strikes just right any coach can have a great season while still being a bad coach (i.e. Orgeron, Chizik, etc.). I remember a lot of UT fans who wanted us to get Frost. That’s one bullet we dodged it seems.

He took an 0-12 team to undefeated in two years. It is revisionist history to act like anything about him other than inexperience was truly suspect at the time. He appeared to be a home run rising star of a hire.

They sure dominated the 1996 Fiesta Bowl (National championship game), It was like they were playing against a kids Pop Warner team - a 62-24 epic beatdown.
