Needing prayers.

Well my Stepmother is back home from the ER, they were so crowded that they had stretchers lined down the hallway and she was
there in the hallway for 3 hours and is back home now because she felt worse just being in the hallway than her own bed, so
they came back home. I don't know why the hospital is so crowed tonight, but just keep her in your prayers because she has
so many health problems, and thank you all so much.

Mrs AV received word that she was experiencing Afib 30% of the the week she wore portable heart monitor that she returned and that cardiologis[s records didnt match the medications she was currently taking. Has appointment Thursday to get portable heart monitor. Ablation being discussed

I am just flabbergasted at the level of medical incompetence that we keep seeing, over and over. She wasn't on the meds in her record?? And I think you said that there was something else they discovered earlier that was incorrect.

Praying that no surgery will be necessary...

Something on my mind tonight. My two boys start school tomorrow. The youngest is dreading it super bad, even though he makes good grades etc. I’m trying to help with that, but when you only have them part time… beating myself up for not doing more with them this summer, but the summers get shorter every year.

Anyway it got me thinking while some kids thrive, some struggle a lot with school. Bullies, cliques etc it’s a lot for some. Keep them in mind. Mental health is a huge issue .

Just my two cents.

I'm 58 years old. I still get anxious thinking about school starting. That's how much I hated the first day of school.

I had to go to new schools often with my Dad being a Navy Pilot and just in high school I went to 5 different ones, some had police on the campus like in California in the early 70's, so school can be very nerve racking.

I don't think I would have survived that high school experience. I refused to go a private school my parents wanted to send me to cause I didn't want to start over in 9th grade as a freshman with a bunch of kids I didn't know. My junior high was 7th, 8th and 9th and I'd been going to school with a lot of those kids for 9 years. I didn't want start in 10th grade, cause all the 10th graders would have already had their 9th grade to get to know each other.

It is rough changing schools, I remember a few times in between places that we were stationed we would come to see both sets of Grandparents in Tennessee before being transferred again for 2 years and so I would go to school in Tennessee for a few months and one time it was 3rd grade and my hands were shaking and my Dad said "What is wrong", and my Grandermother said "Edward, don't you say a word, you got to go to the same school all of your life". I always hated waiting outside of the room while they were saying the Pledge of Alegence and then coming in front of the whole class and the teacher saying "Class we have a new student",

The high school courses you’ve completed have yet to be evaluated and accepted by the school system. You’re 14 years old, so you’ll be placed in the 9th grade. Eighth grade is attached to high school, here, so, if your credits aren’t transferred in, you’ll have to make up 15 course credits. I recommend you forego study hall and take six classes each quarter. Confirm you election for the sixth period to Ms. Brown. Be mindful of prerequisites. You will not be allowed to take a course until you meet them. Now, go see Ms. Brown.

@ArdentVol Hope Mrs AV is doing better, and that the Thursday appointment was helpful.
thank you all and yes consdering past 48hrs

her case will soon be managed by cardiologist who installed smaller pacemaker instead of her cardio guy who was actually on hand when it became apparent at ER she suffers from sick sinus syndrome (the cause of blackouts at beach and on highway)a nd who suggested she receive fult-tilt pacemaker. The new case manager became my chief specialist when i suffered stroke in 2019 and is said to be the best "electrician" and SFib dude in the immediate area.

When we went to her first cardio dude, we were under the impression that he would be be providing her with portable heart monitor (according to his wife, a nurse practitioner in his office) but we found that we were doing the post-hospital check that had been scheduled earlier. That resulted in talks with two different nurses, with the first conducting several routine tests and scheduling her for blood work on Monday, The other nurse spent a great deal of time talking about different tacts the "electrican might take. I think we made it clear that Mrs AV is very sensitive to medications and usually needs to take lower doses than what "the book" says. The nurse seem skeptical, and suggested wife was impatient and overreacting a bit. She did tell us of procedure (I cant recall name) that might be better for her than ablation and would enable her to get off elliquis and on to plavix and then simpl aspirin/

the visit ended with nwie telling her a third time that she would be running out of hospital-supplied elliquis over the weekend and that doc office hadnt called in refill. Called CVS around a Thursday and RX had NOT been sent. Called back about hour later and found we couldnt talk to pharmacist but could speak to one by sending text explaining what we needed. Calls placee early FRiday but it was until afternoon that i could puck it up. Five hours later we lost power, anae power wasnt e restored until Sat afterrnoon.

Mrs AV handfled outage better than expected. Said she was proud of how she handled the past few days and is in midst of nap/

More later. Thanks to all for thoughts and prayers

Take care,
AV

Holy cow. I’m so fuming, but I’m glad she’s tough and doing reasonably well, despite all the actions and inactions of the doctor’s office. 😡🤯

im a little weary with hearing (quote) it is in G....s hands ''''''' im lucky to be alive -- or that I didnt kill someone on the hiway or that the nurses are just too busy.

She easily could have run out of eliquis . and must take it every 12 hours =

The nurse thursday should have called in RX before she went home or earlier -- and someone in ER misplaced documenrtation of sick sinus syndrome before mini [acemaker was installd ma -- etc ........... and etc..........:mad:

lesson learned
avoid medical facilities on holidays and weekends particularly when.football season approaches pm bammurland:rolleyes:

Family member is in hospice care with failing liver and kidneys. A super nice, salt of the earth country fella.

Keep his wife, kids and grandkids in your prayers. They’re telling people to come tell him goodbye.
Sorry to hear that. Prayers for a peaceful passing, and for those who love him.
