It isn't about the government being fearful of ivermectin harming people. The government has to protect the cash cows and keep the lobbyists money flowing.

N95 masks were initially in short supply and the CDC wanted to ensure enough were available for doctors, nurses, etc.

Biden, Fauci, and the CDC director said in February 2021 that these shots would 100% protect you from covid and the variants.

Spotify is in tough spot here. Core business is music. Not Joe. More and more artists are threatening to walk. They are already pissed at Spotify bc they pay the least of any streaming service. Joe making public comments about it now. Spotify stock taking a beating today. Will be interesting.

I remember when the CDC came out with that. At the time I figured it was political appeasement. There's so much pandering and grandstanding from those who should be our leaders, from both parties. For public health that's a crime. Didn't Kamala say she didn't want any vaccine from Trump? Fauci's too concerned with being a star to do his job correctly. And it looks like Biden's washed his hands since it's politically difficult.
I was out of the US when the pandemic started. The government health folks there were clear that surgical masks can't filter viruses but they do limit how far they travel from the wearer. So they're are not for the wearer's protection but for those near the wearer, and they reduce rather than prevent spread of the virus. Which raises issue with that CDC advice.
They also pubilcize that vaccinated people can still catch it and if they catch it they can still spread it. But they are less likely to catch it, and if they do catch it they are less likely to get sick and less likely to spread it (no coughing, etc.). Which helps toward reduction or ideally elimination of the bug.
I don't see that type of message much in the US, or maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

Spotify stock closed at $195... which was way up from where it opened Friday at $165. I'm not sure how making almost 15% back in a single day of trading is "taking a beating."

Of course, the media wants you to think the stock is worth about the same as Billy Bob's Live Bait Shop and Hair Care without giving you the Paul Harvey story.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Spotify and the JRE are doing quite well over this whole hullabaloo. I bet the show's audience has gained 25% or more listeners.

kushners sold some russian crypto and reinvested in themselves through off shore investment companies. Not hard to do. Spotify is run by a kushner equity firm. Cryptos saving their russian emperor. They are getting great advertisement from the hullabaloo tho.

So Ivermectin does work? At least somewhat? For someone who is refusing the vaccine, would this be preferable to doing nothing? And what gives? I was told it was strictly for horses. Why are they doing a study for humans about horse medicine?

Really though. I don't think your reason for not taking the vaccine should hinge on the effectiveness of Ivermectin. But if you are someone who does not want to take the vaccine, then Ivermectin seems like a reasonable therapeutic to mitigate the risks of Covid.

I think it has merit with low risk. Not nearly as much merit as the vaccine, which also is low risk.
