New Arizona Immigration Law

Really, what is the legit argument against this? I understand people will play the race card, etc...but is there a violation of equal protection that can be argued here? I only ask because I haven't heard anything as to why this law doesn't make sense or would be illegal.

Its not, it betters the chance of certain political party losing current, and future votes. They could care less about the illegals, as long as they show up on E-day.

Thus the reason why your typicals are out screaming "Civil Rights", and Racism".

I looked for info and read as much as I can. There's really nothing.

Funny that this has pretty good bi-partisan support in a state where it's actually a problem.

It has the support of the people. Why? Its a problem in many ways. Those who oppose it, have something to lose.

The Feds turned a blind eye, and some even want to grant them the legal status to boot. That included some of the right.

The state gvmnt of AZ had to do something about their problem, it sounds like the majority in AZ wanted it, so they had to act.

I want to know the percentage of people in Arizona that are against this that aren't illegal immigrants.

Also, anyone know what is the estimated percentage of Arizona Hispanics that are illegal?

I asked that earlier, it would be a guess.

The first would be a guess, out of the 30% opposing I would say 7 out of 10 would be illegal.

Second, rough estimates are 500k illegals in AZ, if I read that correctly. Not sure how that adds up putting in the legal ones.

The federal law that our muslim president is supposed to enforce are incorporated into the AZ law. So when you hear a government official complain against the bill you know they haven't read it or the CONSTITUTION!! Kinda like that bs health care bill.

If this bill was somehow overturned by a court I would encourage every person in jail for drug trafficking to sue the states for police officers enforcing federal drug law.

really? People are concerned with the exorbitant cost of illegals because our Dem vote grabbers handed them benefits for nothing and receives no income tax revenue from them to offset that bill. On top of the enormous expense, the crime rates among illegals are horrendous. Crazy that people would want to put a halt to the disastrous nature of our current policies and free up some jobs for a very unemployed American workforce.

Use all the pithy trash you'd like to pretend this is American fear, but it's just a practical approach by rational people to a serious problem. The Dem clowns that exacerbated the problem wouldn't give a shat if they didn't enjoy north of 80% of the Hispanic vote in America.

Bush had 8 years and did nothing... Somehow, let me guess, that's the democrats fault too.
REPUBLICAN John McCain has had a half century to do it. Point being, this is both parties problems

these same loopholes already exist and are why i was pulled over numerous times. they can pull over illegals for any bs reason they want now. i fail to see how this changes anything. the only difference is if they actually commit a crime we can determine they are here illegally and deport them.
so lets just create more loopholes for legal citizens to have civil rights violated... good plan

Such rational statements like this have no purpose in our current political atmosphere. Faux outrage and ignorance of the facts is much more suitable.
do you have this documentation on you 100 percent of the time... unlikely... i know i don't... i don't even have my license on me at all times.

Forcing a legal hispanic citizen to always have proof they're here legally, while all others don't have the same issue isn't illegal to you????

THAT'S the arguement against it. Of course, you don't like it since it you know you'll never be asked to prove you're a citizen

I guess having black people walk around with legal documentation proving they weren't a slave was a good idea since the majority of the people in the nation thought it was a good idea back in the 1860s.

Hello 1950s... wait during that time, we were heading in the right direction... This is truly a step back for everything AMERICA stands for.

Well that's crap.

Anyways, it doesn't matter who you trust. This bill is perfectly constitutional, so there doesn't seem to be a problem.
