New Arizona Immigration Law

i have no idea what would cause a cop to think somebody is illegal/legal. i've met both in my life.. can't tell a difference

This is always a fun one to screw around with newbies.......

Pick out the illegals............ The hispanics working for a construction company or the hispanic family at the mall?

potentially yes, because, loopholes in the law would be on their side. i.e. broken tailight, now i have a right to see if this hispanic-looking person is a legal citizen/immigrant.... won't be the same for people of other races.

Do you ever not think in extremes?

these same loopholes already exist and are why i was pulled over numerous times. they can pull over illegals for any bs reason they want now. i fail to see how this changes anything. the only difference is if they actually commit a crime we can determine they are here illegally and deport them.

Most law enforcement agencies have no desire to mess with illegals. The Feds have no desire to deal with them.

One who is smart enough to see that the handwriting is on the wall for 19th-century-style nativism.

really? People are concerned with the exorbitant cost of illegals because our Dem vote grabbers handed them benefits for nothing and receives no income tax revenue from them to offset that bill. On top of the enormous expense, the crime rates among illegals are horrendous. Crazy that people would want to put a halt to the disastrous nature of our current policies and free up some jobs for a very unemployed American workforce.

Use all the pithy trash you'd like to pretend this is American fear, but it's just a practical approach by rational people to a serious problem. The Dem clowns that exacerbated the problem wouldn't give a shat if they didn't enjoy north of 80% of the Hispanic vote in America.

Couldn't have said it better. This amnesty crap is bull****. Why can't people just accept the damage they do to the country and stop trying to be so accepting about it.

Don't have time to read thru this whole thread. I support Arizona. Our present socialist admin can shove healthcare down our throats tho not allowable by the 10th amendment. Immigration under their control they thumb their noses at. AZ just pushed the government to do its job. Oh yeah it would cost dems votes with no illegals. I vote we accept Mexico's immigration laws and shoot illegals. The Messiah can't do the job he was elected to do-oh yeah he can't do anything except community organizing and flying around in Air Force One and staying on tv.

I saw Mexico was upset about it because it put their citizens in danger...

If their citizens weren't causing American's problems, there wouldn't be a problem.

I'll gladly produce them, because I can. Guarantee that the 70% in AZ will gladly produce them too.

Such rational statements like this have no purpose in our current political atmosphere. Faux outrage and ignorance of the facts is much more suitable.

Really, what is the legit argument against this? I understand people will play the race card, etc...but is there a violation of equal protection that can be argued here? I only ask because I haven't heard anything as to why this law doesn't make sense or would be illegal.

i'm saying only have people who do something wrong prove they're here legally. that goes for every race, though, and not one suspected to be latino

By wrong would you mean entering the US illegally?

Or are you giving them that crime and waiting for the second or third.
