New Arizona Immigration Law

if a HIRED commentator says it on any news network, their opinion (good or bad) is on the behalf of fox news.

So Alan Colmes was speaking on behalf of Fox News at the same time Sean Hannity was? Fox News was pro and anti healthcare reform?

where did i say i'm not sure??????? My stance has always been there will be profiling of LEGAL citizens... shockingly, that has already happened

and sometimes people get arrested for murders they don't commit, but hell let's let everyone else who kills someone go free. because "we can't take that chance" right?.

We should assume all law enforcement is corrupt or incompetent when writing legislature. Maybe cops shouldn't carry guns or be allowed to detain people. That'd eliminate a lot of these problems.

if it's a news organization, it shouldn't be pro and con anything. sadly, that's not the case anymore with any news organization

it's all about rights, implied or otherwise.

but that's not limited to one race, though... that's the problem... the singling out of a race... i know you don't get that.

funny you say that... our criminal system is set up to allow 100 guilty men go free in the court of law so one innocent person doesn't go to jail...

this law is the exact opposite of that and has already been proven that profiling will happen. I must be psychic... I'll keep you update as my predictions come true

Well, you see, sometimes issues in the news are very complex and people like to see experts debate as to how this news will negatively or positively impact their lives. To get both sides of the story, a common tactic is to bring in a guy from the right and another guy from the left. Said two guys then proceed to dsicuss current issues in hopes of informing the viewer of both sides of the story so a more educated decision can be made.

that's the point.... the law as written is fine...... but this proves as written doesn't mean squat

So you trust the process of deporting illegals just not those who are enforcing it?

i think the law in itself will lead to legals being profiled... heck, even fox news, has admitted that...

i feel bad for the cops... they're gonna get it from both ends...

where did i say i'm not sure??????? My stance has always been there will be profiling of LEGAL citizens... shockingly, that has already happened

If the cops do their job, I don't feel bad for em.

Back to the question. Do you not trust the "Law" that you said, "as written, is fine."?

Or the cops that you claim are profiling?

in the bill, i can't... in reality, it's already happened... watch the video

And? Cops are going to figure out that they need to actually be able to accuse these guys of doing something wrong thereby having a vald reason for checking citizenship. If they don't, they'll be wasting their time rounding up guys that aren't getting deported.

yeah, i get the concept... but surely you're not crazy enough to think that news organizations in this country don't lean one way or another

whatever you want to think... you know good and well if you went to arizona you would never have to prove your legality as a citizen if you broke the law... legal hispanics in the area don't have that luxury, which has already been proven.

but just ignore it... i understand.. it it doesn't affect you personally, it's not really an issue

I've noticed you have a hard time remembering what discussions are really about.

You don't know if I'm hispanic. You think just because I've expressed conservative views here that I must be white? How dare you profile me, you racist bastard.

You're making assumptions...

If I went to another country, I'd have to prove I had a right to be there by showing my passport. When I tried to come back to the US, I'd have to prove I can get in.

Every time I'm pulled over for speeding, I have to prove I have the right to drive the car, and in turn I prove I'm a citizen by showing my driver's license.

How's it feel being on the receiving end?
