I am surprised Fulmer is getting some support. He would be my number 1 - but I would like C strong or Patterson. Sorry I voted for Phil lol

Smart - Not a proven HC and I'm tired of the Saban and Bama connections
Petrino - I guess I still value morals and ethics. And even if he ended up here and won, history tells us he'd leave behind a disaster whenever he left.

Petrino can't be on my list of even maybe's. He interviewed for the Auburn job when at Louisville when Tubberville was still coach. Said he was staying at Louisville and then bolted for the Falcons. Left the Falcons for Arkansas while emphatically saying he was not going back to college, before the season was over, and did not have the decency to address his players but did leave them a note. We know what he did at Arky. He can't be trusted and has way too much garbage. Winning is important, but not that important.

To my fellow vol fan that said Tressel. I'm sorry I'm not meaning to insult or flame, and I know times are really bad right now and that makes people think crazy things. But Hell no to Tressel. I mean really he can't even coach for two more years because he's banned from coaching college ball for cheating... TWICE. Let that sink in a bit. The man cheated not only once but twice. You think we are bad now... you have no ideas what hiring a KNOWN cheater would do to the long term health of this program. (ask any Hoosier fan for their brilliant hiring of Sampson lol)

And the other thing: the man has the most vanilla game plan in the world. There is a reason his crap was pushed in every-time he made it to a NC, except for once over a Miami that enjoyed the same pleasures of playing in a weak conference. And that game went to three over times. That's because he came on the scene right as the big ten was starting to go down in quality.

You remember the 2006 championship against Florida? 41-14

You remember the 2007 championship against LSU? 38-24

I'm sorry but Tressel would be worse than keeping Dooley, and this is coming from someone who mentally fired him last year after Kentucky.

My wish list is Patterson or Peterson... But right now I think any coach at a competing school is more than a long shot right now. It's not that I think we don't have draw, but why would someone want to leave a program they have already established to start all the way over again?

at this point i would be happy with george quarrels or gary rankin lol but on a serious note id like to see if they could pull away peterson which i think would probably be a long shot. i wouldnt mind charlie strong either.

Why do you think Chief would come back? He's at a premier program right now making almost a million a year. Plus, most were frustrated with the guy half the time he as here. UCLA in 08 ring a bell?

While I doubt Chavis would return, IF a guy like Petrino/Butch Jones/Kirby Smart were hired at 2-2.5 million, we could always toss 1.25 at Chavis and make LSU match it or give him the chance to come home.

Gruden would be great but I don't see it happening. With that said I would be supportive of Strong or Fitzgerald. Geesh, Fitzgerald has a winning record at Northwestern and he's a defensive guy.

I was thinking the same thing about Chief...people ripped him apart when he was our defensive coord....talk about UCLA remember LSU in the SECCG....people wanted him out on a rail right then...thats why all these silly boys posting all this ridiculous stuff just makes all this a little less tolerable....
