I've never commented on here before. I've followed the site for a long time just to read what others have to say. I joined a few days ago and am commenting now to share what I just learned today. I normally roll my eyes when people talk about their buddy's buddy who knows so and so said this or that. Well, I am going to tell you what I just heard today. My dad's boss is one of UT's biggest donors. He has Hart's cell. He lives in Jackson. My dad just called me and said his boss told him that a press conference will be announced Saturday and Gruden will be named head coach. He said there has been an issue with getting Gruden's brother on board because of his current contract with the Bengals. I told him he is full of it, but he believes it as though it is gospel. I don't believe it at all, but I want to believe it. So, I am just passing it on to you.
I'd be happy with Larry Fedora. He has done some really good things with North Carolina. He was the offensive mastermind for Urban Meyer during the early Tebow years. Tebow's production fell off the year Fedora left and Steve Addazio became UF's OC. He's definitely a name to consider.
He was there when with Zook wasn't he?
CS would be a great hire ! Defensive Minds ( Coaches ) win championships ! Mike Gundy -no for several reasonsCharlie. Strong.
I was not even born when UT won a national championship prior to 1998 and growing up in the 1960-70-80 as a Vol , I never thought I would see them win one . Fieldgoal Phil brought home the crystal football ! I was not a huge supporter of his , however, he should not have been treated the way he was . Potential new HCs look at how an institution treats theire coaches and we treated Phil pretty shabby at the end !Fulmer fan, well you have my sympathies. How about Fulmer having lowered the bar, especially his last few seasons. His last season was 5-7, not 8-3, and his average won loss record for his last seven season was 8.14 wins and 4.57 losses, not top ten credentials, probably not even top twenty category.
