Didn't we only have this many commitments this time last year?
I know Jacques (sp) Smith was committed this time last year but who else did we have? I don't think we had anybody else this time last year but not 100% sure. Its just May guys, some of you guys need to relax. That's not directed towards the fella I quoted BTW

Holy dammit! Another 2011 recruit thread???? Didn't national signing day 2010 just happen 3 months ago??? Why not let Dooley coach at least one game at UT and let recruits see what kinda style he has. Also, last time I checked, we have some pretty good asst coaches on this team that can recruit and Dooley was a recruiting cord for a national champion so let's let the guy be on the job at least a year before we say he sucks at coaching, recruiting ect. Hell, even the "experts" say you gotta give a new coach 3 years minimum!

Wasn't Jose Jose committed fairly early last year?

I see what the OP means. We need to run out and get the first players who will sign with us, no matter if we have looked into their abilities and history. This will look real good to the people who are ready to jump off of a bridge. Who cares if it is going to help our football team, we need to do it as a feel good PR move.

What an original thought for this board. Seems like every day I read the same thread. We hired a guy that very few kids know. It is going to take some time for him to get out his message to them. Feb is a long time away. They will have a top 15 class.

It needs to be better than top 15.

It's not where we want to be, but it's nothing to worry about right now.

Off topic, but I am loving Heyward right now....Braves will be back in the top before long!

But other than that....CDD will do fine...it's only May and like everyone else has said: Recruits WON'T buy into the program UNTIL they see GOOD product from the staff and players!

Tired of defending my team to people who claim to be fans themselves?!

A real fan loves these conversations! I had no hope and now I do! ...

Yeah, I can see the Braves getting the Wild Card.

I want some of what yall are smoking. How yall are "relaxed" about this is beyond me. I just want UT to succeed and from a recruiting stand point we are very far behind.

Wanna know one of my tricks to stay relaxed? Realize it is just a game and the cards will play out as they will.

Because UT football isn't a life and death situation to everyone? Some people have lives, and other hobbies that keep them occupied. Believe it or not.

How in the hell did that come up? I'm talking about UT football and yall come in here bashing me for having no life? I'm 17, have a definate social life and am checking VN on the side during my breaks of studying for my exams.

But by all means, keep preaching Knox, those 800 more posts than I don't lie JMO!

The constant hilarity in seeing people freak out about something that isn't final till February helps me cope.

Again, none of you bothered to read the original post. Congrats, because if you did you would see where I said "I know it's early".

I point out the concern in recruiting and yall just can't stand it. I hope you realize things aren't as bright in the Ville as you think!

We understand that there's really no concern right now. You don't. Hence the disconnect.
Step 1. Breathe.
Step 2. Realize that life isn't going to end if we don't have 3/4 of a class before fall.

If the people running the show now prove not to be good enough, then we will move on and hire someone else. Teams are always rising and falling. We have the tradition, the fanbase, facilities, alumni and most importantly the revenue to make moves most programs cannot.

We will return to glory.

2 hours ago you were comparing us to Tulane. I'm probably not the only one thinking you need a little help...
