NFL Draft Thread

Correct and because as they pointed out on espn he (Gonzalez) is a smart guy that will block. They said in the slot it is key to have a guy that can block and if he is smart willing to block and has the speed he has it seems like a good pick. Plus they needed depth with an aging MH. If he got hurt and they had no more depth they would be screwed.

Exactly why they should have taken a WR in this draft... after they addressed the problem at DT.

You're missing the point.

Is finding a starting DT or LB less important than an upgrade at the Z? No

Was there a possibility of finding an upgrade at the Z in round 3 or 4? Yes

I'm not missing the point but you can also find an upgrade at dt and lb later as well. The Colts had no depth at wr. If an aging MH gets injured, is Moorehead going to be your starter?

The Colts lost at least 3 STARTERS on defense - a defense that wasn't good.

Does anyone remember last year when a lot of magazines were doing super early draft predictions? I remember the top 3 QBs being:

1. Brady Quinn
2. Troy Smith
3. Drew Stanton

It's pretty funny how poorly that turned out. I can't believe anyone ever thought Stanton or Smith would be first round picks.

The key word there is IF. No injury is required for the Colts to suck at DT.
