btw as a miami fan,i know all about the 5 star bust. most of these guys thought since they were at "the U" they were gonna be stars right away..the last class the graduated are two most consisitent players were 3 stars..at the same time..coker didnt get on their behind to work hard which is why miami was so depleted on offense we have to give our punter at shot at wideout!..randy is the greatest coach but the moment he took over he preached that everyone had to work for a spot and he recruited kids that have good character while do great in class..thats one thing i love aabout shannon and he is turning the program around and building a beast..i see dooley doing the same thing

Vinson couldn't play zone to save his life. I would venture to say the lowest football IQ ever for a 5* DB

Oh, look. Morely had stars. That's far more important than the fact he got spun like a top in coverage twice a game and couldn't tackle a 10 year old. It's not about actual production. It's about what Tom Lemming says.

I'm not saying Morley was good. I'm saying he should've been. He was too big of a moron to be good. He was always blowing his coverages and he took horrible angles on tackling like he didn't even practice. I'm just saying he could've been good if he would've had Berry's drive and desire.

Nice job pulling that from 2 totally different conversations. I was saying he was a 5 star comparing him to Berry but how their work ethic seperated them drsaticlly as far as results.

It's okay. You don't care about star rankings until you want to try to prove a point.

Dooley is 1,000 times stricter than Kiffin then, since we are playing the game.
Believe that. I guess that's why one of the stars of the spring game was in a parking lot with his drunk ass car surfing three hours after the game. Yeah, Dooley's got a real tight rein on these guys. I can't wait til these no talent Eagle Scouts this fool is bringing in end up on the Beacon Crime Log. The excuses then will be classic.

Kiffin did a really good job getting the most out of our players last year. I had no problem with his work ethic, just the fact we would've had a 2 year bowl ban in a few years if he would've stayed.

We'll have a de facto bowl ban by the time Dooley gets done cratering the program.

I agree here. Tebow helped Florida win multiple NC's, and he's a high character guy. These are the guys we want here, and these are the guys Dooley is trying to find us.

This 100%. This is prime example I was going to post. Look at Tebow and Berry. High character kids with talent. You can't tell me you wouldn't want a team full of high character kids that will lay it all out on the line and do whatever their coaches ask combined with talent. I will take that any day.

So, now we are going to bring up a college kid being a college kid?? Dooley has dealt with it, and I doubt you see it again, and if you do, I don't think Myles will see the field here at UT again. Kiffin should have kicked off Janzen if he was that strict, especially with the issues that happened well before the Pilot incident ever happened.

You guys do realize that Tebow and Berry were both 5 stars? That's mainly why they helped their teams. Good character was just a huge plus

How? Strict is the wrong word. Dooley is demanding and holds guys accountable. So did Kiffin. Fulmer failed miserably on that front.

Where do you get your info?

He has increased drug testing to almost twice was it was under Kiffin. Other than that, I can't really state a factual reason I believe it, other than just Dooley's overall demeanor and the way he conducts himself.

Brilliant logic. Get rid of a kid that law enforcement readily admits they couldn't prove was actually involved in an incident because Jimmy Hyams claims he failed a drug test. I like how you think.

We can bring Al Wilson in to the argument then, he wasn't near a 5 star out of high school.

Guilty until proven innocent isn't that how it works?
