Nico getting contacted by other P5 Schools?

I know it is a silly comparison but when I play NCAA Football video game and struggle with QB, I find it to be more of an issue with WRs not able to get open or be in right spot than the QB. Are we sure it is all on the QB? We had a pretty damn good WR core last year as well.

I thought we would be better after watching that Clemson game but Clemson was a fraud (they are not good). We are an alright team and can finish 2nd or 3rd in SEC East. That is still better than past years.
Easy where you post this! According to most people on the forum, TN has been winning since creation. 2nd or 3rd in the East is unacceptable

It isn't even just the fact that we are better in the past but also the fact that a lot of Vols fans on here do NOT truly appreciate how good Georgia and Kirby Smart's run is right now. If Georgia wins again this year, that is effectively the best 3-year run in CFB history (or at least modern history when CFB mattered and had recruiting). You can literally compare Georgia up against any 3-year run with any program.

You are asking Tennessee to win the SEC East against a program that is at an all-time historic high. That is a tall order.

Granted, I do think the Florida loss this year was inexcusable.

Then you've missed your calling. You're able to read QBs better than Josh Heupel, who is known for coaching QBs.

If you're not at least making in the high six figures as a QB coach, you definitely should be because you're elite in your observations.

Stop wasting your time on VN and start following your gift.
Where did I say I could read qbs better than JH? Do you disagree that pretty much right away that HH looked better than Milton?

You do understand typing nonsense doesn’t make it true? Hooker went 15-21 for 188 yards and two TDs in the Pitt game - that’s a 71.4% completion rate. He had a QB rating of 168.5 for that game. Remind me all the times Milton had a 71% completion percentage against a Power 5 team? Or a 168.5 rating? I’ll give you a hint: never.

I already listed five different games Hooker threw for three TDs that year, something Milton has done a whopping once his entire career. That stat alone proves he was on a different level than Milton from the day he became the starter.

Stop lying.
Lying….derp.

Hooker even says that Milton was better prepared and should have been the starter.

I swear you daddy ball guys putting all your hopes in a untested freshman is just funny

OMG I may throw up just thinking about it. I was just talking about this to a friend the other day and we were saying how not even Saban has not hit 3 in a row. Hopefully it doesn't happen but sure looks like it might.

#1 think Kirby did was raise the level of talent at UGA to compete with and even at times exceed what Saban was bringing in. That is the key to get to that level.

Multiple players that were interviewed said Milton knew the playbook better, brought it more at practice. Hooker/Bailey were behind Maurer for god sakes. Can these guys that say Hooker is god and has always been better than Milton tell me something? How many post routes did this offense run after Hooker tossed that INT in the Pitt game in 2021? Even last year? Ask yourselves why after you do some googling.

If Nicco could get the same money and go home and play in a conference where defense is not played to any high level then why not ? There are a lot of QBs in the Pac 10 with big numbers and high draft value from playing in a low defensive league. Who's defense would you rather face Georgia-Alabama or pick a Pac 10 team. Just saying. Nothing may happen at all.

Well the PAC-12 won’t exist next year so Nico would be headed to the Big 10 where he would actually play some pretty good defenses. So, no, similar to what everyone else has said this makes no sense and is click bait nonsense by the king of it, Tony Basilio.

Changed the mind set too. They went from being soft in 2018 to killers in 2019. They are one of the most aggressive tackling teams i can remember in the past decade.

Going back to Nico, with how all of these NIL deals are structured, I don't think he can leave without buying out the contract. Most of the time, they own money if they move away. I guess the teams recruiting him may pay the buy-out, I don't know.

Patterson Law Firm in Nashville did a class on NIL recently (legal prospect of it) that was very interesting and had a lot of background of what these deals entail, the lawsuits that are ongoing about them, etc. If the Nico contract rumors are true, I don't think he can leave without owing Millions to Spyre.

Exact quote:
"He looked much more in command of the offense, more accurate and better at running from the get go to me"

It didn't look that way to Josh Heupel so what should I think you believe about yourself?

Currently, Josh Heupel thinks Nico isn't ready to run the offense better than Joe Milton. I take it you disagree.

Again, what should I think about how you view your QB reads vs Josh Heupel?

Im sure he would buy it out with a new one if he left. There is always an option.

I said nothing about Nico, I have no clue on the kid. I said from the moment HH stepped on the field during the Pitt game he looked miles better than Milton. I truly believe even Ronnie Millsaps could see that.

True, he has greatly raised the level of physicality there. I honestly thought they had bungled that hire....how many first time HCs thrive in the SEC? A few have for sure, but I was shocked they went with a coordinator

But you don't think your reads are better than Josh Heupel? 🙄🤔

And so then why the hell are you here talking about Hooker now? He's in the NFL. He's not a current QB option at TN.

The ONLY thing I see you doing here is trying to say Heupel can't read QBs as well as you.

I don't attend practice, I have no idea how they looked.

Do you disagree that HH looked better once he took over?

I agree that Josh Heupel knows more about QBs than both of us.

Again, why do you keep bringing up Hooker? Is he an option this week?

Why does Hooker matter unless you're just trying to convince people you don't believe in Coach Heupel's ability to judge QBs?

Because earlier someone said the when he first took over , HH looked like he should be the backup. That's how the discussion started.

Offense was the same, just Hooker was hitting the Open WRs that Milton was Missing on. That was the only difference. Hooker couldnt make the post route throws like Joe did tho, they had to remove that element from the offense.

Just look at the numbers of each QB before both got to UT. Hooker had done scored 38 TD’s while Milton had 5 passing TD’s with 6 interceptions prior to coming to UT. The numbers didn’t lie. Even after we all seen Hooker take over, it was obvious immediately who was the better QB.
Yes, I know. I'm thinking Milton probably outperformed him in practice during fall practice. Heupel isn't playing Milton just because he wants to or is worried about a QB controversy. The plan was always for Nico to backup this year unless Milton gets hurt

For the record, there is nothing on tonybasilio.com about this. I listened to his interview with John Adams of the KNS earlier ... and it wasn't discussed. If this was legit, I think it would be newsworthy. Notice how the OP acknowledges that he didn't hear Basilio talk about it himself. That is what a troll will do to cover themselves when they are busted.

But if the teams from the PAC-12 move to the Big 10 they are taking their defenses with them
