Nico getting contacted by other P5 Schools?

Per Basilio, ND and USC both are contacting Nico. Take this with a grain of salt, i know TB is always on the "Sky is Falling" routine. I did not hear this myself because i do not listen to him. This was passed on to me by a friend who does. Someone can confirm. But my thoughts on this is, if he wants to go let him go. You gave him a hefty deal to come here. He wasnt ready, If he thinks he is and is unhappy let him leave.
So you think Basilio went on air and accused multiple P5 schools of a significant NCAA violation? If true, he better either have the evidence to back it up or a really good attorney.

I wouldn't mind seeing Nico get playing time before the season is up. Satin played 3 different QB's early this season and no one objected that I can remember. Spurrier did it at Florida at least once or more. I do think we need to get him some valuable playing time this year. Take off the bubble wrap and let the guy play---it's why we recruited him.

We played against a decent true freshman last year in Clemson's Klubnik.
He did the JG rogue play vs Miami instead of handing off for sure score he pulled called his own number and got flattened. I think he is almost split their fan base 50/50, their 7 W & 7 Ls since he took over. That's unheard of at Clemson for last 10 years.

Keep trolling, Trolling, Trolling.
I’m not trolling, I am being 100% serious. I’m not the type of person to troll and the ones that have known me on this board for years will prolly agree with that also. I’m not saying it’s going to happen l, but what I said could very much happen. Everything I also said was not a lie. So if your Nico and think your better than Milton, and your not getting a fist chance, what would you do?
It’s fact that Heupel thought Milton was better than Hooker. Hooker wasn’t Heupel guy, Milton was. Hooker committed under Pruitt and stuck with his commitment. Then it had to take Milton getting hurt for Hooker to get his chance. We are 5-2 right now and I think we would be 5-2 right now even if Nico is QB. Hell I think Gaston Moore would be 5-2 also.
If you was a top QB, would you come to UT after this if Nico leaves because he was mishandled by Heupel and staff?

If Nico does bolt in the off season, Heupel is toast with this fan base.

Heupel isn’t going to play Nico unless Milton is hurt to the point he can’t return. Heupel doesn’t want a QB controversy if Nico plays well. Milton got hurt when the Vols was up 31-0 against UTSA and needed a leg brace half way down his leg to finish the game. Milton also finished the game limping. With the game in hand at half time, did you not find it weird for Heupel to keep Milton in till the 4th quarter?

Seriously, everyone knew based on the bowl game from last year that the starter would be Milton. It was his to lose and he didn't. You don't bench a QB that is winning games. That sends a signal to any QB that if they "make a mistake", the backup is going to take their place.

It is apparent that some of you have an issue with the coach - just say that and be done with it, because that is what you are saying. And while you are at it, send your resume to the AD, I'm sure he would love to have you since you know more than the coaches do.

You haven't got the first damn clue as to what, "Heupel wants". Did you really serve in the Marines?

I got this same garbage from fans like you about Pruitt. Right now the guy is getting 8mil to sit on a bench and they are risking the chance of getting nothing in return for that investment.
You mean Pruitt who picked JG over:

Bailey - currently a walk on at Louisville
Shrout - replaced as starter at Ark State
Maurer - starting at SFA which is dead last in the mighty UAC.

With all due respect Nico and his parents had a plan along with Heupel about how much Nico played this season. It has nothing to do with a Qb controversy. More so they want to protect Nico and give him the very best chance to succeed by waiting his turn, learning the offense and letting his body mature. To me that is smart. It is a good plan. When he steps back on the field he will be better prepared to play and play well without destroying his confidence
I have heard others say the same thing, and I hope it is correct. I have no idea what their discussions were.

If he bolts it is because he or the coach realized this was not a good fit for him. If he is as good as advertised the position is his to lose next year.
If he is as good as advertised, and they have not agreed for him to sit out this year. I don't blame him if he transferred. Because the qb play we have seen this year is below average.

What's going to be ironic after all this build up and Nico ends up being a bust. You talk about a guy having pressure the 8 million rumors floated out there. This fanbase would go bonkers even if he's an average SEC QB, dude has got pressure on him big time.

All the more reason for him to take time, learn the system, be coached up, etc.

I love how everyone just assumes Nico will be great and lead us to the promised land because he was a top prospect. Ha. Top prospects
fizzle and transfer--sometimes multiple times--regularly. Nobody has the vaguest idea how he will perform. I don't say this to be negative--just realistic. People seem to think that because of this corrupt system of recruiting NIL bribery, that he MUST play right away and SURELY he will be great. It's all mostly nonsense. He'll start next year because we have no one else--unless The Heup brings in another transfer QB with experiernce, which wouldn't surprise me--and we'll see how he does.
I also hope Nico does very good here, but at this point we really don't know, I have seen a lot of highly recruited players, or highly ranked players be a bust, Jg was highly ranked.

I don’t know but I trust the coach who has a strong history of developing QBs. Milton beat out Hooker in practice. Thankfully things clicked for him when his number was called.

Nico knew he was going to sit this year when he was recruited.
And how do we know this? I have seen this mentioned several times by others. I do hope it is true.

Nico said from the beginning he was looking forward to learning the system and picking up as much information as he can. He was sold on a system that requires a smart QB but takes a season to learn.

But now he’s ready to leave.

Calling BS.
