Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2023-24

I wish we are in the region with NC State as a #4 seed I would guarantee we would be in the sweet 16 right now and better.....Indiana beat VCU and Belmont to get to the sweet 16 no doubt in my mind we would have beat VCU and Belmont.

Wow Louisville has scored 20 in the 3rd, equal to what they scored in the entire first half. Guess he is earning the $$$...good halftime adjustments, though I am pulling for an upset.

Going out West in 2022 would be interesting and i think the 2021-2022 LadyVols will finish #5 in the SEC and wind up being a #5 or #6 Seed in the NCAA Tournament in 2022. The LadyVols will lose a lot of offense that was on the 2020-2021 team.

I wonder why too

Because TN has a policy of not offering players once they commit. There are schools who still try to sway players or recruit them after they commit. TN is not one of these schools. From the story Chloe lost a close family member and decided to stay close to home early on. Chloe reopened her recruitment late and committed to IU.

What was going on with Connally from UGA in the tournament? Suddenly she was coming off the bench and playing hardly any minutes?

i thought it was an injury they said but her and another starter

Ah dang, wasn’t sure. Noticed she and Staiti came off the bench in their opening round game. Staiti was back in the starting lineup today but Connally was not and only played 11 minutes. Big loss for them as she basically was their lead guard all year and they were playing great.

that’s the other one i wasn’t sure if it was staiti but when you said come off the bench together

She might prove me wrong but I truly think Coach Mox at Mo. State is headed for trouble after this season. She loses the majority of Kellie’s players and doesn’t have much coming in. Unless she pulls some big fish out of the portal they are back to a .500 team. She’s losing all of her size and brining in 3 guards.

Watching them they do a lot of the same things defensively that they were doing before. A lot of the same things I saw our players starting to do this year. Mo State still executes better defensively than we did this year. Hopefully we improve even more next season. Kellie had them trained up and they were a young team when she left. Props to coach Mox for keeping them all together, but I don’t think this success belongs strictly to her.

Iowa State is lights out from 3 right now. Their two freshman guards have come a long way since the beginning of the season. Donarski is a nice player and looks way more confident compared to earlier in the year.

Ashley Joens is one of the hardest working players I’ve ever watched. Very much like Bridget Carleton from Iowa State a couple seasons ago. I think she’ll definitely make a WNBA roster if she goes that route. At only 6’ she scores at all 3 levels better than almost any other player in the country. Doesn’t matter how big a teams post players are either she is crafty and just flat outworks everyone else.
