Daddy is thinking of the $$$$$ long term.

Sounds like he’s at odds with Geno too. I found it ludicrous when they said 6-8 weeks after she had surgery.

For someone who dragged an entire program for something like this is find it pretty suspect.

I maintain she will not play this season. If she does try to return I suspect she plays a couple games and is out again.
Those are my thoughts as well, I just hope he does right by her even if that means protecting her from herself!

Would having her come back for a game or two really be worth it if she does further damage and has to be out for part of next season as well?

That’s what I’m saying. I think it would be in her best interest to pack it up this season and be ready to go next year.

Even if she comes back this season I don’t see it changing the trajectory of their season much. I’ve maintained all year that they have big chemistry problems. Her return, especially if not fully healthy, isn’t probably going to improve that. Working a superstar back in is never easy. Even working Burrell back in has had some snags for us and I would say she is comparatively less important for what we do compared to what Bueckers does for UCONN.

I have my suspicions on why and have posted about it. We will know next season if I am right or not.

I don't want Notre Dame in our bracket either; they are a very dangerous team, but since we haven't played them in a while I have a sneaking suspicion that's exactly where the committee will stick them just to spite us. I hope I'm wrong.

For the first time in a long time I think a lot of teams are probably saying “we don’t want to be in the same bracket as Tennessee.” Feels good.

Guarantee you ND would be more scared of playing us than we would of playing them.

In all actuality if they had said 10-12 weeks i think we all would have been " yea thats reasonable" but this seemed rush and coming off the Fudd injury is not a good look. I'm sure she will be fine but this is making me think there is more happening behind the scenes with her (especially with gatorade in the mix).

Agreed. Be interesting to see how it shakes out. I agree that if they had said 12 weeks or “in time for the NCAAs” nobody would be talking about it. 6-8 right after she had the surgery just seemed strange and premature. That’s usually the amount of time before you can do ANY significant activity. Let alone play at the highest level of women's college basketball night in and night out.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I think NIL will see major changes. Someone jumped down my throat about it “being a law” which is all fine and well, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be amended to some degree. You see those conversations happening already. Seems like it’s putting programs in certain states at a big recruiting deficit as some schools are allowed to broker deals for students while others are not. Creating an unfair advantage for some institutions.

I’m betting Gatorade would prefer to see her sit it out and come back strong next season. Gotta know some executive somewhere is really questioning if that deal was worth it right now.

Geno wants to win and he's not used to a season like this one...He wouldn't be the only coach who puts an athlete back in before they are ready..Anyone remember when DT hurt her back at Uconn? It was a serious injury especially for a young person and the back issues have been lingering for the last 15 years.. He made a lot of accommodations for her just to get her back. Like not going to class etc...This is one reason why she didn't graduate on time.

Paige is a dynamic player with a great future. I only hope she makes the best decision for her and she stays healthy long term,.

And the difference is TK is allowed to get beat up and fouls aren't called and when even stares hard at a person she is called. ONO gets a way with a lot of holding, grabbing and pushing and refs seem to ignore it. It happened against Morrow and the same happened the other day against Providence. I expect TK to have to sit and ONO is able to stuff the stat sheet because the refs will cater to Geno in Uconn.
Completely agree!

Well, I think daddy also cares about his daughter’s future and not just the $$$

will uconn full roster be available sunday? or do they still have players out?

At this point we do not know. Bueckers is out at the moment and I would say it’s unlikely she will play. They have said mid February but I’m still not convinced that will happen.

Juhasz did not play in their last game due to a foot injury. A poster mentioned that it was possibly a dropped weight on her foot so she may be ready to go again Sunday if it was not too serious.

At the moment Fudd is back and played in their last two games.

They do have another player, Griffin, who is out but is not expected to return this season.

Nope Uconn B is not going to play aby time soon. Her Dad already expressed that he doesn't allow her back so soon

Not exactly what he said. Sounded more like he would prefer she does not come back too fast but she and Geno have other ideas. He insinuated he would have to convince her not to play because she’s 20 and feels invincible.

I thought Fudd had a weight dropped on her. Are we now seeing Juhasz with a similar injury? That would be really weird.

Talk about toxic environments!

Maybe I was confused! I understood the comment to mean that is what happened with Juhasz. Fudd was out with an ankle injury. Can’t figure how you drop a weight on someone’s ankle and how they would keep them out 90 days
