Hope Tennessee is a 4, but not sure who they replace. Especially since we have lost head to head to several of the others. Hope it’s not too little too late scenario and that the weak scheduling of other schools is taken into consideration.LSU will be a 2 seed. Tennessee will be a 4 seed. LSU loss to Tennessee shouldn’t drop them below 2nd line. Tennessee NET ranking shows they are one of the top teams in the country.
15thI believe the most updated NET rankings puts them at 16th.
The Net actually has Villanova at 12
so maybe not so easy but it should be. lol. I can't figure out this NET ranking to save my life lol
so is owusu hurt still or just not a good fit at this point ? Im confused on why they took her as a transfer and then not use her or decide they are better without her lol . Amoore is damn good so i understand it but how did either side figure this was a good fit before the season ?
It's crazy, to have a dazzling record as LSU does but not win your conference regular season or SEC tournament has got to sting. Furthermore their weak non conference schedule is really coming to the light big time.Congratulations to the Lady Vols. Resilient comeback against LSU. If Tennessee can make the SEC championship competitive they should be in line for hosting games in the NCAA Tournament
As for LSU, the narrative regarding their questionable credentials is likely to be on a loop among pundits. Inevitably, such sentiments are likely to have some sway with the selection committee. LSU's seeding in the NCAA Tournament could fall significantly.
Unfortunately TN (and LSU along with the rest) have to deal with the juggernaut that is South Carolina. No one has been able to pull it off the last two years except for one small blimp vs Missouri. I guess this is how many felt during the era where UCONN had that monster run with StewartIt's crazy, to have a dazzling record as LSU does but not win your conference regular season or SEC tournament has got to sting. I believe she is a outstanding player but injuries have really derailed things for her this year. VT may have not been the best fit for her. Judging by her twitter, she almost seems regretful choosing to transfer to VT...so is owusu hurt still or just not a good fit at this point ? LOL, you and me both. I don’t understand it, and it makes no sense to me. I keep wanting to say stop paying attention to it but apparently the committee values it for some reason. If it actually made sense I could see it, but if baffles me. Siegrist is a great player but what has Villanova really done? I guess just play it out on the court and we’ll see who belongs where in the big tournament. The Lady Vols are showing out recently, and I’m feeling good about our prospects right now. Today should tell us a lot. Rickea has turned into a player that can really carry a team far, we know Jordy can do anything and help carry us far, and don’t even tell me about Hollingshead’s development and potential. The tools are there to go far. We have some areas of concern but so does every other team. I just hope it plays out for the Lady Vols for a deep run!!
VT to win, Villanova to lose. Feel like overall, other than VT, ACC teams are over ranked. Maybe it’s my orange perspective!

Yup! Great post and that sums it up ! Crème essentially has us as the #17 team it looks like.![]()
I like to think I’m pretty objective and call it like I see it, but we can seriously make a run no matter where we’re seeded or placed. I have not thought that for many years but this year I do. Parity is here, and no team is safe. These Lady Vols have shown they can play and have some pieces to make a run. We just need the team that has shown up recently to be the team that shows up in the tournament. We’ve proven we have the tools to compete but can we execute when it matters? This sure doesn’t play like a 10 loss team, and I’m seeing a ton of price and fight. I think Pat is smiling right now.
Owusu can play either guard position. She had a midseason hand injury just as she was umm.. rounding into shape. She came back from that injury tentative with poor physical conditioning. Brooks tried to get her reacclimated but she was unable to contribute meaningfully. Something must have happened between her and the coaches because she has stopped getting even cameo minutes in the ACC Tournament. Owusu needs to decide whether she wants to play college basketball at the highest level. If she does, she has to improve her physical conditioning and get in the right mindset.
I thought I read somewhere this weekend that Owusu said she will not be taking advantage of an extra year of eligibility and will leave for the WNBA. I don't see her sticking in the WNBA - yet anyway. I'm sure someone will take a chance on her, but she had a bit of a down year last year at Maryland and certainly hasn't shown anything this season to show she's ready for the W.
