Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

I think he may take the Kentucky job is the pay is right. The ACC is going to be a disaster next season long road trips to the west coast. I am sure he has to have the right amount of money if they are willing to pay that amount is the question.
One road trip to the West Coast for two games every other year really doesn't constitute a disaster

🤣 Walz isn't going anywhere. 😂

Just playing the suckers in his AD (and internet 'experts') for another raise/extension. Why would any coach go to Kentucky with their substandard facilities and non-existent NIL?

Probably not, but how many times can a guy cry Wolf before you just ignore him. If I was the AD at Louisville certainly wouldn't be upping his pay. He has been on somewhat of a downward trend both recruiting and on the court.

And just trashed his own players for being all about the money!

Jeff Walz, report to the Nick Saban greedy curmedgeon clubhouse.

Matthew Mitchell done a terrific job at Kentucky, probably most success the program has ever had was when coached.

What I'm saying with rite coach they can be top 15 to 20 again..

It is really amazing how explosively the WBB game is gaining in popularity. Over the past weekend, the championship games for the SEC, ACC, and PAC-12 all set records for tv viewership. On the same weekend, the Big 10 WBB championship set the highest rated CBS WBB rating since 1999 (UT vs. UCONN). Not only that, those tournaments as well as the Big 12 tournament all set or nearly set a variety of attendance records. This clearly demonstrates that in addition to Caitlin's and Reese's direct impact on ratings, the overall sport across the country is growing at record pace.

Jeff Walz has put his name in as interested in the Kentucky womens basketball coaching job. He will go if they are willing to pay him the money.
Fun fact: they could’ve stolen Pat from us in the 70s and the only reason it didn’t happen was because they wouldn’t agree to give her $300 for relocation expenses that she asked for.

With conference realignments, I can see many, many coaches open to jumping ship to greener pastures. Other than Geno, Kim, Dawn or Tara leaving their programs, nothing else would surprise me at this point,

Vic Shaefer would leave Texas? Where would the greener pastures be?

Other than him, who else are the "big name" coaches? Brenda Frese?
