Totally agree. As KM proved, you can sched light as a feather preseason if you're conf is tough enough. Which the SEC most assuredly is. I totally get the race to the bottom of the cupcake rack but it still is not a very fan friendly experience.Truly though, the SEC has evolved a lot. When Pat was scheduling for March the SEC wasn’t nearly what it is today. Georgia and LSU (under Chapman) were always good for a game and that was about it. Sometimes Kentucky or Auburn would have a good season. Ole Miss had a couple with Price but it was hit or miss. Otherwise it was pretty likely we were comfortably running the table every season.
The level of coaching has improved so much in the last decade it is a much more competitive league. It was always an athletic league but there weren’t the coaches there are today getting it out them.
I think you mean preseason and I get it. Plenty of SOS in the SEC. But then there's scheduling "fairly light" and there's . . .When your in the SEC you have to schedule fairly light in the post season. UConn has the Big East so they always need to schedule stronger out of league.
Since in the last few seasons with the net there is no proof the better schedule helps you in the post season. That is a big reason so many teams are going away from it. Were 108 right now which is top four in the SEC.Totally agree. As KM proved, you can sched light as a feather preseason if you're conf is tough enough. Which the SEC most assuredly is. Wow didn't see that coming. Jeff's young uns can really struggle sometimes.NC State is leading Louisville 40-13 on the road in the 2nd quarter.
But Iowa is better basketball players! It those darn athletes on opposing teams again.18-2 Michigan State run
for all the talk about Iowa’s depth, they sure do have a tendency to run out of gas quickly late in games
