Not sold on Butch nor Dobbs

Thank you!

Most good college football players don't waste their time reading these chat boards and if they are that is mistake #1!

So fans are the reason the Vols have lost so many games in such ugly fashion over the past 4-5 years???? hmmmm really?

Auburn's "overnight" success can fool non-football people. Malzahn recruited those players for his system. The Chizik tried to be a power team with spread players. It failed miserably. Enter Malzahn. Team full of "his" players running "his" system. And magically (seemingly) an 8-1 record and a top ten ranking. Funny how that works, huh?

Most players are all over social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc. so saying they don't read things won't hold water.

Whatever man - that is the world of major college and professional sports.

I guess you support our players shooting their mouths off on twitter - like Tiny Richardson has done and continues to do. Would not surprise me if the staff did not give him a twitter suspension.

Dobbs has some talent, but no touch on his deep throws and an inabillity to get it into the endzone.....I am just not seeing the it factor that people have talked about...Bray looked better against SC as a true freshman and you could immediately see his supreme talent and it factor....I'm just not seeing it with Dobbs. 3 points even as a true freshman and with wr drops ain't looking too promising...he resembles worely as a true freshman agsint SC...more so than a future stud....I am eager to see if Riley is any better...

As for Butch....the team has quit on him...oline has regressed ....defense is still awful...is.it really surprising considering what janckeck did at uga? That might as well been a Dooley team out there tonight...

lol

I didn't say I supported players running their mouths or anything like that, I said they are on the social media sites and that is 100% fact like it or not.

No touch? He had 2 deep passes that should have been TD's. Dobbs had no run game to help take pressure off him and the Coach's abandoned the run way too early which put more pressure on Dobbs to be perfect. Our Coach's were badly prepared for this game for some reason. No way we should be getting blown out as bad as we have on the road, also dont understand Lane not getting more touch's but I'm not the Coach.

FYI Hart wont be here long and Haslam is focused on his NFL franchise and other more pressing issues.

 The ignorance just keeps spewing forth from you. You have no clue as to what you are talking about so just give it a rest.

The fact is that performance on the field has infinitely more to do with where a recruit chooses to play than message board content.

So you disagree that the each player that played in the game is not graded by the staff?

The point is the same - the staff is fair game for critiquing! The head coach is making 3 mill per year - he and he staff should not be immune to a critique about their performance.

By all means critique on. I'm patiently waiting for your analysis of the game film. And then of the play calling, sorted by down and distance. You know an actual critique. :whistling:

The pass to North was not a "should have been TD". He overthrew North plain and simple. I like Dobbs but lets be honest, so far his glaring weakness is his deep ball accuracy.

Amazing how the talent on the opposing team can skew the opinion isn't it?

Talent on opposing team is our excuse?
Rivals recruiting
2010- UT = #9 class Mizz = #21
2011- UT = #13 class Mizz = #48
2012- UT = #17 class Mizz = #31
2013- UT = #21 class Mizz = #41

Sure some talent leaves early, and others don't pan out but that's every SEC team. We should be beating Big 12 mid tier and bottom feeding teams and not using talent gap as an argument.

bs. He wasted energy and speed the last 10 yards of his route running with his arms in the air and either lost it or misplayed it. Pass was thrown well and should've been caught. At minimum, he should've been able to put 2 hands on it and if you get 2 hands on it you catch it.

That was weird. I've never seen a player do that.

We haven't been playing any bottom feeding Big 12 teams we've been playing SEC teams ranked in the top 10. You should have known that with your awesome research skills.

Speculation, or scuttlebutt. Perception even. But hardly a fact.

I have never heard a player say that a deciding factor in his decision was positive or negative chatter on a message board. "I chose Tennessee because even though they suck on the field, their fans are always positive and understanding on their message boards"

Your post is ignorant. The staff has no talent to work with. Now if we were loaded with talent I would agree with you.

So we should be better than Oregon too, right? We've had better recruiting classes.
