Not sold on Butch nor Dobbs

Dobbs is a true freshman who at times played like a kid making his first college start. Bray had Gerald Jones, Denarius Moore, and Luke Stocker all upper class man when he started his first game, while Dobbs is surrounded by mostly Freshman at WR.

This team took Georgia to OT and Beat SC at home, I will say they for some reason do not play good on the road but its hard to win on the road in the SEC, ask SC who we beat.

Dobbs actually played pretty good. I mean he had two int's but one of them was thrown at the endzone looking for a TD. He also had a TD dropped by Josh Smith that was a perfectly thrown pass & the 50 yard bomb thrown to North missed his hands because he lost the ball in the lights so the could not make the TD catch. Dobbs was in a very tough situation playing a highly ranked defense with good pass rushers on the road & our offensive line did not protect him or run block very well. Our line also kept Dobbs in bad situations with all of their false start penalties, that kept us in 3rd & LONG every drive.

I gotta go get the soccer gear cleaned for the kids I have who don't play soccer. Oh, and I guess I need to make sandwiches or something.

Yes we will be out coached next week. Malzan is an offensive genius and he'll make our D look like high schoolers much like MO did tonight only worse.

I wouldn't critique her at all . You took reality and substituted your own with your original piece.

There are some very valid reasons that our team cannot compete with top 10 teams . A freshmen QB and young receiving corp for starters. A lack of front side D depth and a freshmen secondary is another.

These problems are issues that would be hard for any coach to overcome. It will take time to mature and recruit. We are 2 seasons away . There is no silver bullet here

Do we have nothing but newbie fans.....I have been watching ut football forever back in our heydays....and well coached teams never flat out quit....and future stud qbs show a lit .more flashes than what Dobbs showed....and to the Bray bashers....he was our best qb in years but played under our worst staff...Andy Reid has done nothing but rave about him thus far in kc.....but then again not surprising...you were the same ones trying to act like worely was good after we beat Sc...despite his consistently mediocre play......and volleygirl....stick to watching soap operas if u can't handle the harsh truth...

Im glad you have been watching Tennessee since the heyday but you do know football is a lot different now from General Neylands day, Offenses throw the ball now.

But if you are talking about the 90's and early 2000's then you should know that our talent is waaaaaaaaaaaay down, if you know football.

Dude, we lost today. Defense looked horrible, running game was not there, and our punter/kicker was the only bright spot. I will still wake up tomorrow go to brunch at the Brasserie and get work done for class on Monday. Absolutely nothing would've changed if we would have won. Now you seem to think that if a fan isn't in some miserable depression after a loss then the program will stay on the same course. The truth is that nothing you spew on here will change anything with the team or your miserable life. Your lack of class for calling out a female shows what kind of "man" you are and it makes me very appreciative that I am much happier in life than you. With that being said, Go Vols. bring on the tigers/ war eagles.

Butch is relatively young as far as head coaching experience. He's got a lot of growing up to do.
