LBJ was the MVP this year. KD had a strong case but hardly got "robbed."

So a player that has won the scoring title on a small market team three years running has not been robbed by two players on big market teams that wasn't even close in any stat three years running?
I mean I give it to rose cause he came out no where. But LBJ has been out played by more than one player ever since the so called "king" has enter the NBA.

Ok Lofton drilled a crucial 3 over Durant. But what about that kid from Xavier who dunked on Lebron at the camp. So Chris and that kid have highlights and memories but better than the 2 best players in the world....No sir.

Do you watch the NBA?

Lebron put up record setting numbers this year, in a condensed schedule (that means nothing if you don't understand how difficult it is.) He had a higher PER this year than Michael Jordan's best year (which was the previous highest).

Lebron had more assists and rebounds than durant this year, and in the playoff averages more points on less shots as well.

Durant is the best pure scorer since 2008 Melo on the Nuggets, but he is in no way better than Lebron as a player (and to be honest, if not for The Decision, Lebron would've won the MVP last year as well).

Better passer, Lebron
Better rebounder, Lebron
Better defender, Lebron by a mile
Better scorer, Durant

(all with stats to back it up)

Sorry to burst your lebron hate bubble, but he has lived up to the hype outside of winning a ring.

And regardless of that, OKC wins it all in 6 because their bench and role players are so far ahead of Miami that even if you had shane battier and Juwon Howard in their primes they'd still be better.

I disagree with this assessment...Lebron James deserved his MVPs and is the most physically gifted player in the NBA.......he still has a lot to prove however and will get the chance to prove it against oklahoma city....Durant shows up and plays the same every game, win or lose.....Lebron has had a tendency to fade to the back ground in the past.

That had to be personal records cause there is no way he beat ibaka in blocks or rondo in assist but that is just looking at the stats on my fantasy league. smh

Wow someone is drinking "the king" kool ade so how u explain in years past u win the scoring title u get MVP. Guess if Durant was on Chicago or Miami then it would be a question.

especially late in the 4th qt. he seems to disappear.I know the LBJ lover will come back and say look what he did in game 6,7. but we can go back through his career and find how he disappeared in alot of games.I like Lebron but I would take KD in a min.

LBJ is the best player in the NBA without even a discussion needed, KD wins the scoring title sure. However, you better realize if LBJ wanted to he would drop 50 a night INSTEAD of snagging 12 boards and dishing 7 or 8 assists. If he wanted to be just a scorer, he wouldn't have focused his progression on defense and turning himself into an all nba defensive player.

All around king James is by far the best player in the league. It's truly amazing to watch him be able to guard 1-5, and be effective against each one.

Because of the huge spotlight people have that perception he fades. For every game you can say he faded, I can point to and say he didn't and I'll still have a bunch left over.

Just look at this years playoffs alone, how many games did he fade in in the 4th quarter? Hell the guys averaging 30+ 10+ 6+ 2+ for the playoffs, all better numbers than KD, if he's fading in the 4th, it's scary to imagine what he could do in 4 quarters.

So I ask, out of 18 2012 playoff games, how many did he not show up, or fade in?

If Lebron played every game with the focus he did in game 6 and 7 vs the Celtics he would rewrite the record books. But you are right he has a tendency to just take a back seat at times.

Your "take a back seat" statement kind of is what is truthful. It's not that he fades or doesn't show it's that he is willing to differ because that's the way he is. If people want to criticize him because he's willing to pass to a wide open teammate then so be it, that's his style.

It's not like he sucks, or bricks everything in the 4th, he's just willing to pass if he's triple teamed instead of forcing up a shot and some people don't like that mindset. There a difference in no showing in the 4th quarter, and being a good teammate. While I would like to see him be more aggressive(he has been this year) I also like the fact hell pass to those guys if they have a better look.

no he has brought it this playoffs and is currently playing like the best player in the NBA but lets face it the celtics and pacers are not even close to oklahoma city. Last yr against Dallas is an example of Lebron not bringing it when it counts.

If every team had a closed envelope of a fantasy draft with their 1st pick inside. Every single team would start with LeBron. Best across the board player probably since Oscar Robertson. Over 82 games his stiff teams he was dealt in Cleveland had leagues best record.

I agree he has brought it the 1st 3 rounds, however he has to finish against OKC.

I agree with you. I am just saying that there are times when Lebron really is focused and he shows how dominate he can be. Other times he looks like he is just coasting.
