If every team had a closed envelope of a fantasy draft with their 1st pick inside. Every single team would start with LeBron. Best across the board player probably since Oscar Robertson. Over 82 games his stiff teams he was dealt in Cleveland had leagues best record.
I agree and would take him too but there are too many times in his career where he seems to disappear like the dallas series last year....he has improved every season so maybe this yr he is turning that corner in his career.
He is learning the little things now. The fire in his eyes in game 6 of this past series is from all the naysayers. Now I don't think the Heat are near the team as the Thunder but I believe LeBron is going to play like a crazy man in this finals so who knows. I think the young man has it figured out now.
LeBron is, without question, the best in the NBA right now...but you all are writing Kevin Durant off WAY TOO QUICKLY.
Sure, he isn't the defender that Bron is, but his defensive skills have vastly improved over the last 3 seasons (and especially in these playoffs).
He is just as good of a rebounder that LeBron is (they averaged basically the same number in that category).
KD has the greatest potential of any player we've seen in a long time, since he's only 23.
Some of you LeBron fanboys make me sick, though. Does it kill you to show any other player some respect?
Rant over.
I earlier said he is 2nd best player in the game. But without developing something strength or speed wise he wont be able to defend like LeBron. I like KD and he has the better overall team. If I had to make a franchise I would be ecstatic if I had either man. For instance saying you think (insert whoever you think is hottest) and if you can't date her and have to settle for second hottest on the planet doesn't make her ugly. Either way you are lucky. Trust me no way anybody is turning down a chance to land Durant on their roster if given the oppurtunity.
Greatest potential in a long time? You mean after LeBron retires.LeBron is, without question, the best in the NBA right now...but you all are writing Kevin Durant off WAY TOO QUICKLY.

It will be proven one way or the other in this series.
No it won't.
If the Thunder win the title it doesn't automatically make him better than LeBron.
LeBron has been and will continue to be the best player in the world.
Durant is amazing and getting better but he will never be able to do what LeBron does on defense.
lebron has the best talent but to be the best player he has to prove it on the court every day .....the best player in the nba does not avg 17.8 points per game and be held to 8 in one game like the king was in the last championship....name.anothet superstar that has a tendency to fade like he does.....wind or lose.he has to.bring it.
His only detriment is unselfishness. LeBron before had the fault of loving the game too much. But after a whole year of getting blasted for the Decision and losing the finals last year as well as the not, 5,6,7 pep rally (which was in fun by the way). But now he has a disdain to show the world to prove them wrong.
Do you watch the NBA?
Lebron put up record setting numbers this year, in a condensed schedule (that means nothing if you don't understand how difficult it is.) He had a higher PER this year than Michael Jordan's best year (which was the previous highest).
Lebron had more assists and rebounds than durant this year, and in the playoff averages more points on less shots as well.
Durant is the best pure scorer since 2008 Melo on the Nuggets, but he is in no way better than Lebron as a player (and to be honest, if not for The Decision, Lebron would've won the MVP last year as well).
Better passer, Lebron
Better rebounder, Lebron
Better defender, Lebron by a mile
Better scorer, Durant
(all with stats to back it up)
Sorry to burst your lebron hate bubble, but he has lived up to the hype outside of winning a ring.
And regardless of that, OKC wins it all in 6 because their bench and role players are so far ahead of Miami that even if you had shane battier and Juwon Howard in their primes they'd still be better.
Agreed. Not even a conversation until Durant (a) learns to pass and (b) actually runs down to the defensive end, then successfully defends someone. Reminds me a lot of the Iceman.
I disagree with this assessment...Lebron James deserved his MVPs and is the most physically gifted player in the NBA.......he still has a lot to prove however and will get the chance to prove it against oklahoma city....Durant shows up and plays the same every game, win or lose.....Lebron has had a tendency to fade to the back ground in the past.
