Nothing against Kevin Durant..

Kobe Bryant > Everyone else that dribbles a basketball.

Heat only 1 game away :fireworks:

There's an article out today I believe that actually shows numbers saying Lebron is more clutch than Kobe.

Interesting...

As far as best overall not even close, don't think kobe has ever put up the numbers Lebron did last night.

Not in a finals game haha, you'd be lucky for him to even look at a teammate, never mind actually pass to them and let them shoot.

That's one thing I like about LeBron, he likes to get teammates involved. I really wish people would stop with the Jordan comparisons. He's s more like Magic or even OR with his game

I don't share the same Lebron love as others. I still stand behind my opinion that I think Kobe is the best basketball player of all time and that includes Jordan, Bird, Lebron and anyone else. Yeah. I know. A lot don't agree but ehh he can make anyone look dumb on a basketball court because he's so gifted.

The one thing I don't like about lebron is that sometimes in big moments he will flat out disappear. Also he is a little timid sometimes like at the end of the celtics series he had rondo on him and instead of driving like he should have he threw up a 20 footer and missed. Cop out.

Players like Kobe and Jordan wanted to take games over. I never see lebron do that. Except for against Detroit a few years ago in the playoffs

Did you ever watch Jordan play?

Kobe and Jordan is one of the better comparisons, so I don't know how he puts Kobe over MJ. IMO, the best player since MJ was Kobe before LeBron came along. Like others have said, LeBron's scoring alone hasn't made him one of the best players, it's everything else he does too. On the other hand, Kobe and MJ primarily led their teams to greatness just with scoring.

To me Jordan is head and shoulders above everybody else. I think a lot of people forget how good he was on defense.

Nothing says better basketball player than scoring more points than a freshman in only that freshman's tenth (maybe 12th) college basketball game.

Hot sauce makes people look dumb on the court all the time, does that make him better than MJ?

Those stats have been for years in fact. I read an article on it in 2007.

However, to those calling KD a better scorer... here are the top three scorers this postseason:

(format doesn't copy well to here, but Lebron is scoring more on less shots than Durant. Still.)

PLAYER NAME, TEAM NAME GP MPG PTS FGM-FGA FG% 3PM-3PA 3P% FTM-FTA FT%
1
LeBron James , MIA
22 42.7 30.5 11.0-22.0 .501 1.0-3.7 .268 7.5-10.2 .733
2
Kobe Bryant , LAL
12 39.7 30.0 11.0-25.1 .439 1.4-5.0 .283 6.6-7.9 .832
3
Kevin Durant , OKC
19 41.8 28.3 9.7-18.9 .515 2.0-5.5 .365 6.8-7.9 .861

But, I openly had OKC in 6, and did at the start of the year. So to say that I'm surprised Mario Chalmers dropped 25 and that Battier would start shooting 70%+ three pointers AND that James Harden would stop being the best sixth man in five years is quite an understatement.

I do hope now at least that people leave Lebron the hell alone, This won't be his last ring, I don't think anyone outside of Skip Bayless will say that.

Unfortunately scoring isn't all there is to basketball, which is why Lebron is the better player.

The End

I was speaking simply what everyone else is thinking of.. i.e. Kobe and him dribbling the air out the ball all game

And without a doubt LBJ is a better defender than KD, KB, and even MJ

Glad the Heat won! The Thunder is tough and I'd hate to play those guys if I was any other NBA team. They are for sure up and comming and no reason they don't take a few championships as long as RW and KD stay together. Great effort.

I think RW limits KD, and harden JMO though.

harden's a nice complement to KD especially coming off the bench a la J.R. Smith.. but westbrook has to realize creating for somebody else other than himself in pivotal moments is the right thing to do rather than continuing to throw up a house of bricks outside AA arena..
