'20 NV ILB Vai Kaho (San Diego State commit)

I did. This roster. Henry T over 240 and so was Bituli. And both over 6’2. And Henry is a freshman. Will be 250 next summer.

Also looking for different frames than what Kaho has at LB. I’m not throwing off on him, I really like him. But at STAR. Not middle LB. just like McDonald. Same frames, intangibles, and similar games.

Henry is 232....
Bituli is a combo LB who can play OLB and ILB...so it makes sense for him to be 250

Eason will probably slim down. French will beef up. French is a OLB. Eason will be like Bituli, play at 240 to 245 depending on his composition.

You're well liked by the VN cool kids, there's no doubt. It's cliquey in here just like anywhere.

What I don't do is react to a post by saying "that's dumb" or being sarcastic, or posting an eye roll gif. Maybe if it's just really out there I would, but very rarely. Not saying there's anything super wrong with that, I just prefer friendly debate to that sort of thing.

What I am guilty of is reacting too strongly when folks do that to me. I need to chill sometimes and remind myself this is a stupid internet forum.

I genuinely hope you will accept my apology and that all is well with you.
Love being a cool kid

@Orange defense ,

How big is McDonald now? 220 or smaller?

He’s about 215-220. Kaho is about 210-215. You’re not understanding the emphasis on their frames. They can’t put on 30 lb. if you’re 6’4 220 it’s much different than 6’1 220 but also frame type, shoulders etc.

Read the article I posted. “Unlikely he’d play LB” in Pruitts D. More of a utility, big Nickel / STAR guy. Same as Kaho. Just watch man lol we can go around and around. Wait and see. I’ll back out of this politely I’m sure it’s annoying to everyone.

I'm good.
But you still haven't told me what offended you. There was no "dumb", "eyerolls" or any of your no no list. It was just a question?

Used an example to prove certainty is a bad idea and it was a 2019 kid because how else would we know if your prediction worked out?

But out of over a hundred that I interact with regularly, there's maybe 5 where we don't get along?
That's a lot of "cool kids"

Apology accepted regardless.

If you don't read or regard anything I'm writing then why would I do it for you.

I just gave you numerous examples of great 3-4 ILBs that were in the upper 220's mid 230s pound range and you just completely ignored it...

Believe what you want dude 👍

Because you’re giving me personal opinions. I literally gave you a well written scouting report on McDonald including stuff Pruitt has told him directly.

Just suggested numbers might mean he won't get in and Kaho fan club got all butt hurt. But you know that. Just here to pile on with the rest.
You should take this me vs the “Kaho Fan Club” bit on tour...it’ll kill. Witness one man dying on a hill he built on a sand dune.

Rueben Foster?

His starters this year were Henry T and Bituli. Both over 240 And both over 6’2. And Henry is a freshman. Will be 250 next summer.

Also looking for different frames than what Kaho has at LB. I’m not throwing off on him, I really like him. But at STAR. Not middle LB. just like McDonald. Same frames, intangibles, and similar games.

Savell Smalls is his protypical LB edge rusher. Rueben Foster and Henry are his prototype ILB.

Bituli wasn't recruited by Pruitt but yeah he's probably the biggest inside lb Pruitt has coached the last 5 years. As for the 2 biggest ilb recruits Pruitt has signed at Tennessee (jj and ht) and Reuben foster, see below. And generally if sizes on rosters are wrong, they are over inflated not under. And that's Tennessee's 2019 roster and fosters senior season roster.

247 sports eval of Kaho:

Thick frame with good size already, but adding considerable weight will be difficult without losing speed due to lack of length. Physical tackler who can cover ground to close on ball carriers. Fluid athlete that sticks to tight ends down field. Good ball coverage skills and instinctual in space. Length to disrupt pass plays. Best equipped to clean up in run support closer to line of scrimmage. Ability to contribute as edge rusher in blitz packages or play role of larger Nickel. Could improve lateral quickness and overall consistency. Potential multi-year starter at Division I level and could garner attention from NFL Draft scouts.

Read me: Friday Night Files: Tamarion McDonald | Volunteer Roadshow

I think that’ll help you understand things.
This article basically describes what I think he's grooming Aaron Beasley for. Not really a pass rush olb but a sub package lb safety hybrid that is good in pass coverage but adds more in run d than a smaller db. I think saban refers to it as the money position. This may or may not apply to kaho. But it doesn't really show that Pruitt wants his inside linebackers to be 250 lbs. Just specifically talking about how he sees McDonald fit.

Come on guys enough with the arguing already. We are all here to gain information about our beloved Vols and not to have to skip through 3 pages of arguments. Some people get too personal. How about agree to disagree and get back on topic.

I like how you ignored the 6 LB that fit my description and Crouch playing ILB now.

And again, Foster’s weight was more like 240 when he reported.

I guess you also believe Grant Williams is 6’8 and Marcus Tatum was 285 in high school when he was more like 250?

This whole eval is a walking contradiction.. first sentence tough to add weight due to lack of length shortly followed by length to disrupt pass plays. It's like they created a player on madden then decided to edit him for their franchise

Not really. Says he’s basically almost maxed out his frame. He’s not lengthy enough to add 20 lb without turning into a block of cheese haha. I think when they say length to disrupt pass plays they’re referring to range. But I dunno that is a little contradictory.
