Obama stimulus plan

The article fails massively in that it doesn't account for what that unit receives back upon filing taxes, based upon a particular AGI.

He's saying they pay it, which is technically true and supports his BS, but he never addresses that they get it back.

If his argument held any water whatsoever, we would certainly hear it from the lefty media ad nauseum.

Doesn't the same apply to the original argument on the stats of what is paid in taxes? It doesn't account for the returns either.

And for the record, I'm not arguing that the tax burden is fair. In fact, I'm in the fat of the curve getting hosed.

Life's lottery.....

So your parents work their rear end off and somehow the government has to punish you for it?

Yeah, welcome to the land of freedom!

how is the government punishing you? the guy who made the money is dead. he isn't being punished. the other guy never deserved the money in the first place.

Who said anything about punishing? Pay the tax on it, take your money, and move on.

Life's a lottery? Really? So your saying work should be taxed, but luck gets a pass?

Really?

So I don't deserve any thing my parents give/gave me and my children do not deserve any thing that I freely give them?

Somehow the government is entitled to it?

it absolutely accounts for the returns. It is talking about tax burden and where it falls at the end of the accounting cycle. Few dispute it. The journalist is just trying an angle for the stupid to argue that everyone is paying their fair share. He's quibbling to avoid outright lying.

No I am poking fun at you with life's lottery!

:hi:

The whole tax idea is assinine!

we're not talking about anything. we're talking about over $3.5 mil (the current estate tax exclusion). i'm all for people supporting their kids within reason, but at some point it becomes ridiculous.

I know many second generation guys that worked treir butts off for their fathers, helping earn what is their inheritance. The taxs placed on the inheritance caused them to have to sell the business they helped build.

then they had a really lousy estate planner.

So again we come to equality through government. Government defines what is within reason. That is complete and udder BS!

What I do is of no concern to the government!

In short, yes.

Your children didn't earn anything you give them, and you didn't earn anything your parents gave you.

hey. it's not a perfect solution, but as I said. it's a zero sum game. the money has to come from somewhere.

Astounding. The very idea that every parent wants their children (and grandchildren) to have it better than they did penalized for having succeeded in doing so.
