Official 2012 DNC thread

If I had the stomach for it I would watch to see how it plays out, because it's going to be interesting to see their plan of attack. There will be some blame Bush but I am guessing they will continue to play up this fake war on women and talk about how bad Romney is because he is rich.

The one thing that won't happen is Barry talking about his record and the economy.
Stomach pains?

The third point is the most frustrating. It is an equal point on both sides.

What are you specifically going to do in the next four years to change things? I'm all ears for either major party to answer that question. Sadly, I haven't heard it from either side. It is a sad state of affairs this country has fallen into. I dunno what is more disheartening, the fact that our "leaders" refuse to talk about it or our electorate and media refusing to demand specific, detail plans from both sides.

Pkt, that is your problem even though you claim to be a Libertarian. The Feds should do NOTHING. They need to stop REGULATING, release Federal land for oil and gas exploration, and put in a flat tax. In all that, the Fed is really doing nothing. Just leave the country alone and stop trying to "fix" it. All the fixes that have been put in in the last 20 years are what has this country screwed up.

Yea Clint is set to speak to the empty chairs at Panthers Stadium.

I'm sure this cost the cash strapped Obama campaign a pretty penny. Oh Well

Because absolutely EVERYTHING the Dems are doing for this campaign is wrong.

Because absolutely EVERYTHING the GOP is doing for this campaign is right.

There, now you never have to post until elections are over.

Sorry but the facts are that Obama wasnt going to fill half that stadium and the Eastwood bit was a homerun

The estimates this morning were that only 35 to 40k of the 65k capacity was going to be filled. Even with busing people in from VA, TN, GA, SC, and other parts of NC.

5 days later and they are still talking about it

Meanwhile, it's apparent that Obama is no Garth Brooks

Yep, They still talking about Clint and his chair, mainly how Team Romney dropped the ball by letting Clint at 82 years old go on stage unscripted and talk to an empty chair.
It was a pitiful sight.

I dunno that the Bible thumpers are the ones directly responsible for the anti-immigration policies.

No doubt that the GOP screwed the pooch big time on the Dream Act. Honesty, it is probably the dumbest political move in my life time.

Uhh, Unions had been anti-immigration for over a century. They are the ones that are responsible for engraining the mentality within our society, IMO.

sorry but the polls just dont show that. Hows Gary Johnson doing? Havent heard a word about him in over a month. Maybe its because my home owners association has more clout then him

Heard a clip from the DNC last night where they played a video and one of the clips said "Government is the only thing we all belong to" Of course I am sure this quote is being taken out of context

It's scary to me that saying that doesn't put the fear of God into people. You ask anybody and they'll proudly say they don't trust government, but they're actions speak much more loudly than words do.

It scares the hell out of me. I am not surprised they think that way, it does surprise me they said it at their convention.

You have unfortunately hit the nail on the head.

The DNC's weather excuse for moving Obama's speech is one of the lamest things I've ever heard. Everybody knows what the deal is.

Gary Johnson has zero chance of being elected.
The polls do not show a bounce from the GOP convention.
As of yesterday afternoon Romney had gained 1.8% on Obama in the RCP poll which you posted the link to with Obama leading in 10 of their 12 battleground states.

Why would you post a link to a poll then deny what the poll says?

You then go to another thread and post some underlying data frame an CNN poll that shows Romney gained within certain groups.

1.8% gain in the week following the convention is not a bounce.

It good to hear you have a homeowners association with more clout than Gary Johnson.
