ouch....tough starting when you haven't done it in a while.

Yep, there were some factors playing into him starting today. The All-Star game is tomorrow and the coach wanted to save some of those arms. In addition, Y-D is in a position to make the play-offs and that means the rotation is getting tweaked.

I actually watched the game today, he was fairly wild at times.

Most probably already know but Team USA lost both games to Cuba yesterday. The final game has just gotten under way. It's the last chance for Team USA to pick up a win in the friendship series with Cuba.

In game one of the DH yesterday, Christin Stewart led team USA with 2 hits and he scored the lone run in the 2-1 defeat. In Game two, Stewart didn't start. He went 0/1. Team USA lost that one 7-3.

So far, in the series with Cuba , Stewart's line: 9 AB, 2 R, 3 H

The Cape Cod League All-Star Game is tonight. Unfortunately, no Tennessee Volunteers made the rosters.

There are six games left in the Cape regular season. Brewster (A. Lee) is out of contention for the CCL Playoffs. Hyannis (D. Houser) is all but mathematically out of contention. The Y-D Red Sox (AJ, VJax, Owenby) on the other hand are very much in the thick of things. The East Division is a virtual 3 way tie right now. Five teams, all with a legit chance, vying for four play-off spots. The Cape has no games scheduled for Monday.

Jordan Rodgers finished the game last night: 2 AB, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB.

Tonight the Miners (Rodgers, Serrano) will play a DH against the Bucs (JYB, Marks, PLenny). It is entirely possible, based on the days between outings, that we see all of these guys tonight. This is the final regular season game for the Miners, the Bucs have one more tomorrow night.

The first Game will be at 8 PM, the second will be 45 minutes after.

It's a good sign that Plunkett was able to finish strong. He had a terrible start.

It is! It's not unusual for it to take a month or so to get acclimated, especially for red shirt guys. I've been pulling for him, he's a big, strong kid.

Looks like Team USA lost 1-0 today, they go 0-5 vs Cuba...stats aren't available yet.

Rodgers getting the start (3B) for the Miners and JYB (CF) getting the start for the Bucs in game 1 tonight.

Both Rodgers and JYB were 0/2 w/ a run in game 1. Game 2 starts in 45 minutes...
