Kyle Serrano is getting the start for the Miners in game two along with team mate Rodgers at 3B. I was hoping we'd see a KS vs. Bret Marks match up, but it's not the case. Marks or P Lenny may come on, wait and see mode at this point.

The Miners win game 2, 8-4. Rodgers goes 0-2. the Miners will play the Goldpanners in the "Top of the World Series" starting Tuesday. The Bucs' final game is tomorrow.

Still no stats on Team USA's final game with Cuba, but this from the Team USA website:

Zack Collins (Miami) paced the U.S. offensively, reaching base in three of his four plate appearances with a couple of walks and a single. Mark Mathias (Cal Poly) added a pair of singles in the contest, while Tate Matheny (Missouri State) had a base hit and Christin Stewart (Tennessee) roped a double off the left-field wall in the third inning for the game's only extra-base hit.

Had some Big thunderstorms roll through east Tennessee tonight, hope everyone made it through okay. GBO!!!

The Final Stats are up for Team USA. Christin Stewart comes home as the teams leading hitter.

Stewart's BA of .383 was almost 100 points higher than that of Dansby Swanson .288 and Tate Matheny also .288.

He led the team with 31 Hits. The next closest guy was Alex Bregman with 28 hits and he had 28 more at bats than Stewart.

He also led the team with 12 doubles, Mark Mathias had 7 and 14 more at bats than Stewart.

His 16 RBI were second best to Bregman's 17 RBI.

He led team USA in Slugging % at .605 and On Base % .474...nobody else was even really close.

Great summer for Stewart!!!

Bret Marks goes into his final game of the summer tied for the ABL strike out lead (49 K's) and 5th in ERA. Hopefully he gets the chance to take the lead tonight against the Goldpanners...11 PM.

Looks like the Bucs vs Goldpanners has been rained out, Marks will have to settle for a tie...

With Brewster up 11-4, Lee's day is done. He went 2 AB, 1 R, 1 H, 1 2B, 1 SF, 3 RBI batting in the cleanup spot and playing 1B.
