Official Brexit Referendum Discussion

Yes, I get that. It officially started in the 1960's but the actual movement to unite occurred after WWII in response to communism. 1951's Schuman Plan is largely regarded as the first step or do you wanna cite me another wikipedia article. Jesus.

It kinda does though because they are at least in conjunction with each other somewhat--that's a better alternative than what led to the event 100 yrs ago. Duly noted on lessening pressure, however. That's a good point.

Can someone please explain to be why he is continually allowed to do this?

oh they talk more, definitely. But they aren't America's mixed bag population. each nationality is going to want different things and that pretty much requires that anything the EU does makes someone angry. Its kinda ironic that the UK, already a conglomeration of states, was the first to remove itself. The subsequent talk of Scotland and Wales leaving the UK reflects the EU. Whats the saying? Whats good for the flock is bad for the sheep?

and he is "allowed" because its the PF.

Question for all of you: if you polled those who voted for it and asked what their main reason was, and assuming they would answer truthfully, was it to get rid of the perceived drag on their economy, or to reduce immigration, particularly Muslims coming in via European countries ?

why are those the only options?

Do you support the US joining the EU or an equivalent with our neighbors to the north and south?

If you say no is it because you hate immigrants or don't want the drag on the economy or hate Muslims?

The global elite (Clintons, Obama, Soros) lost. The people spoke and the majority have had enough. This could be what we see here come November.

It is a damaging blow to the liberal world order that's been encircling the globe for way too long..

I don't think we need to and there's no advantage I can see. It's a pretty different situation.

what did the UK get from the EU? A number of their largest industries were hamstrung by the EU. The talk of Wales and Scotland leaving the UK to join the EU really strengthens the idea that the EU is just a welfare state.

Just to be clear, your version of success is replacing rich liberals with a filthy rich RINO?

That's a bold strategy Cotton.

51.8% of the voters got what they want. In about 10 years we'll know if they really want what they got.

Perhaps voters in Britain felt the same way - they didn't see the benefits being worth the cost (loss of control).

Welcome to the world of complex issues and people who vote their conscious in good faith.

Your utopia must be a weird contradiction in that it's a place of total peace but all the white people are racists.

It's weak that you conjure up questions in effort to profile anti liberals as racist...

It's sad...

Standard for LG. He's always working hard to strengthen his assumptions!

His bulls**t is so entertaining for me. LG is caricature of a loyal lefty water carrier.

When does hiLIARy claim the Brexit vote was caused by a heinous anti-Euro video or a vast right-wing conspiracy.

Some of her cohorts are already trying to tie Brexit to Trump. So it won't be long.

A lot of people have their knickers in a bunch because Obama wagged his finger at the UK, saying they would go to the back of the queue if they voted to leave the EU. And the Brits heard him and gave Obama the finger, leaving him with a little egg on his face.

I am indifferent to the result right now. The currency devaluation that I predicated has happened - but it already seems to have partially stabilised. Now the process of unpicking EU legislation, negotiating and exit and negotiating new trade agreements between nation-States begins. This will be a long and difficult process, one which I hope Britains civil service is prepared for.

As some may have already read, I voted to remain. So I was pretty ok with the status quo. I'll be more indepth about my thoughts at some point this weekend.
