Yes, I get that. It officially started in the 1960's but the actual movement to unite occurred after WWII in response to communism. 1951's Schuman Plan is largely regarded as the first step or do you wanna cite me another wikipedia article. Jesus.
It kinda does though because they are at least in conjunction with each other somewhat--that's a better alternative than what led to the event 100 yrs ago. Duly noted on lessening pressure, however. That's a good point.

oh they talk more, definitely. But they aren't America's mixed bag population. each nationality is going to want different things and that pretty much requires that anything the EU does makes someone angry. Its kinda ironic that the UK, already a conglomeration of states, was the first to remove itself. The subsequent talk of Scotland and Wales leaving the UK reflects the EU. Whats the saying? Whats good for the flock is bad for the sheep?
