Official Brexit Referendum Discussion

We’ll see. Even if they to through with it, I don’t think it happens that soon.

They're going to have to pass a bill to delay it. Which is certainly possible, but not a given. Stuff's really going to start happening next week, one way or the other.

I've been following this relatively closely (for an American) and can't say what's going to happen next.
 
This is a problem for May. She doesn't have a majority without the DUP votes. I don't imagine there's going to be a lot of crossovers.

 
This is like if the American Revolution had happened and months after Cornwallis surrender the Continental Congress said you know I think leaving England was a bad idea maybe we shouldn't leave them after all.
 
How so? The people of England voted to leave the EU. Yet the elected officials don't care that they did and are trying every way they can to get out of it.
This is more like leaving NAFTA than declaring independence from Britain.

Edit: I know the EU isn’t the equivalent of NAFTA, but brexit is hardly an independence movement.
