Official Brexit Referendum Discussion

And they're still on track to leave. If they do back out, it would likely be after another referendum.

The people’s voice isn’t being respected. It’s been how long now? 2 yrs....UK leadership is being strong by the anti-nationalist establishment...

Parliament will kick the can down the road until May is votes out or public opinion doesn't want the Brexit anymore. Then they'll demand a re-vote. Repeat until they are no longer leaving the EU.

Maybe what the people voted for wasn't clearly defined.

It was clearly deifined. Brits voted to leave the EU...

Now, crooked politicians are doing all they can to make it not happen....the elites will make sure of it. Democracy is just a word in the western world....not a real thing.

What did the referendum say should happen to the Irish border, which currently is almost invisible?

It’s not rocket science...it doesn’t take almost 3 years to figure that out. That isn’t what it’s about anyway. The elite and their cronies don’t want the UK leaving...

If you're going to have the UK outside the EU economic market, then you have to have an Irish border with checkpoints between Ireland and Northern Ireland. But no one in Ireland wants a border with check points. So there you go. Simple.

Moreover, even for people wanting Brexit, there's are different options as far as the trade relationship with the EU, and right now none of the MPs are wanting to compromise, because they think by holding out their position (soft versus hard Brexit) will eventually win.

How is that defined? This must be a cousin to the Senate parliamentarian ruling if stuff can be passed via reconciliation or not.

Why? Why can’t they just agree to leave the border as is? Why does that have to change if the two countries involved don’t want it to?
